Red Dead Redemption 2 continues to provide memorable moments, as one new clip shared by players showcases something extremely random. Somehow, a Red Dead 2 fan managed to fire an explosive round from a Cattleman Revolver.

Something that may have been useful during one player’s failed hostage rescue in Red Dead Redemption 2, the ultra-powered revolver looks like any other Cattleman that can be seen in the game. When the player fires the weapon through Dead Eye, though, there is clearly something defective about their revolver. Then again, considering the weapon defective may be the wrong way of looking at it due to how much damage it puts out.

Reddit user spyrg posted the clip to the GamePhysics subreddit under the title "Broke The Matrix," and they certainly seem to have done just that. The player is attempting to kill a hostage in the back of a prisoner transport, which seems slightly better than murdering the game’s civlians. When spyrg lines up his shot with Dead Eye, however, a revolver round is not what comes out of his weapon. Thankfully the carriage’s horse has been scared off prior to the deadly shot being fired, showing that spyrg protects horses like other Red Dead players.

For whatever reason, the weapon completely glitches out, firing off an explosive round that decimates the carriage. The vehicle flips inside out, landing on its back in an impressive way. With bugs like this jumping carriage and a ladder-climbing horse in Red Dead Redemption 2, it is easy to see why people are still playing the game almost two years later. Surprisingly, the clip does not end there, as spyrg continues with their matrix breaking.

Despite the vehicle literally exploding, the player’s victim somehow survives. When spyrg goes to finish the prisoner off, he floats from the vehicle into the sky and despawns from the game. If that were not enough, the prisoner manages to do that floating while upside down. The clip is extremely odd, and it is certainly not the result the player expected. Still, maybe this will inspire them to stop killing so that they can get the good ending to Arthur Morgan’s deep and emotional story.

In other, non-glitchy Red Dead Redemption 2 news, players may finally be getting Undead Nightmare 2 like they requested years ago. The only catch is that RDR 2’s Undead Nightmare won’t be what fans expect, but hopefully it still provides the same incredible glitches that the base game does.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is available now on PC, PlayStation 4, Stadia, and Xbox One.
