Red Dead Redemption fans eagerly sought out the series' returning characters when Red Dead Redemption 2 released earlier this year. However, fans of one of Rockstar Games' other hits, Bully, may have noticed a few familiar voices along the way, too.

Initially spotted by YouTuber SWEGTA, Bully and Red Dead Redemption 2 share a fair amount of voice talent. Three voice actors who worked with Rockstar Games to bring the characters of Bully to life have gone on to appear in Red Dead Redemption 2.

Bully fans may have noticed something familiar when meeting Red Dead Redemption 2's Albert Cakes and Clay Davis. Albert Cakes of Cakes Hardwood and Timber is voiced by Michael Cullen, who was also the voice behind the stepdad of Bully's protagonist, Jimmy Hopkins. Clay Davis is voiced by Kevin Cahoon, who also voiced Thad Carlson, one of the Nerds of Bullworth Academy.

Finally, if a random NPC's voice stood out in Red Dead Redemption 2, that may be because Anthony MacBain, voice of Freely, a carnival ride operator, also provided his voice talent to RDR 2. However, he provided his voice to help bring the general NPC population to life, so no one is quite sure which NPCs bear his voice in Red Dead Redemption 2's expansive world.

Fans of Bully have long awaited news of a potential sequel or spin-off in the works, but so far, Rockstar hasn't shared any significant releases on the matter. The use of these actors doesn't necessarily indicate the existence of Bully 2; it's quite common for game developers to bring back voice actors they've worked with in the past. In fact, Michael Cullen is also the voice of a sheriff in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, and MacBain has previously provided his voice for generic NPCs to multiple entries of Grand Theft Auto as well as L.A. Noire.

While revisiting former Rockstar voice talent doesn't spell anything out for a potential Bully 2, it does indicate that Rockstar is keeping its channels open to former voice actors. If Rockstar was indeed holding casting calls for Bully 2, fans could potentially see - and hear - some familiar characters making appearances in the hypothetical sequel.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is out now for PS4 and Xbox One.
