There are aesthetic qualities that are unique to Red Dead Redemption 2, many of which pertain to the time frame in American history where Red Dead Redemption 2 takes place. As a result, a lot of the small details, side missions, and set pieces tend to be influenced by real-world elements. In fact, one observant fan has recently purchased one such real-world element from a used book store.

In Red Dead Redemption 2, guns are important to gameplay, considering that in most gameplay scenarios players find themselves involved in some kind of shoot-out. Thus, it's important for the player to have a varied and extensive arsenal of guns that can either be found throughout the world or purchased at stores. When purchasing a gun at a store, the player is presented with a catalog of items in the store, which are based on real-world catalogs made during that time.

A Reddit user by the name of JustJonovan found a Sears and Roebuck catalogue in a used book store that is reminiscent of the ones found in Red Dead Redemption 2's general stores. There are even pages in the catalogue with pictures of guns presented with the same graphic design and typography as the ones featured in Red Dead Redemption 2. Not to mention that the catalog was only twelve dollars, making it a rather lucky find.

Not only is it impressive that this user managed to find an actual catalog whose formatting is identical to that in Red Dead Redemption 2, but also the fact that it was found in a used bookstore for such a reasonable price. It's amazing what gaming-related paraphernalia can be found in antique stores. Recently, one Final Fantasy 7 fan made a lucky find at a Goodwill, purchasing a rare piece of Final Fantasy 7 merch.

In any case, it's amazing to see how much effort and detail has been put into Red Dead Redemption 2. Even after releasing nearly three years ago, the game is still featured prominently in the community, with players making new discoveries about the game in the present, such as one player finding a strange alien carving on a rock in Red Dead Redemption 2.

It will be interesting to see what the future holds for Red Dead Redemption. Right now, a lot of emphasis is being placed on Red Dead Online, with new events releasing periodically for it. It's unlikely that the gaming community will see a new Red Dead Redemption installment anytime soon, but there certainly won't be any shortage of content for Red Dead Online.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is available now on PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One.
