For the last few months, there has been nothing short of radio silence in terms of official God of War: Ragnarok updates. While the initial release date was confirmed to be in 2021, not much by way of official news has surfaced with regards to God of War: Ragnarok yet. Although, players could potentially expect an appearance from a talented voice actor in the upcoming game.

This lack of information since Sony's PS5 Showcase event has led to much fan speculation and online theorization, but ultimately doesn't give fans a lot to work with. However, it seems that there might be a possibility that Red Dead Redemption 2's Arthur Morgan actor, Roger Clark, could be making an appearance in the new God of War.

Clark recently posted a screenshot of an open positions page on Sony Santa Monica Studio's website via his Instagram story, although it was simply that and nothing more. This has led some fans to believe that Clark could potentially show up in the God of War: Ragnarok sequel. In particular, some fans are guessing that Clark might play Thor in God of War: Ragnarok, an interesting idea given how severely different Thor is from Roger Clark's iconic role in Arthur Morgan.

For many in the gaming community, Arthur Morgan is one of the greatest video game protagonists ever created and Clark's performance of the character garnered quite a lot of favor as well. It even won him Best Performance at The Game Awards 2018.

Now, it is important to note that nothing has been confirmed. While this could mean that Clark is interested in taking on a role in the upcoming God of War sequel, he could be sharing it in support and benefit of colleagues in his field. His silence on the post instantly gives way to speculation, though, and it wouldn't be surprising to see him in one of the game's roles. Given his performance as Arthur Morgan, he certainly would be able to stand on his own two feet when compared to Kratos' current voice actor, Christopher Judge.

It will be interesting to see if Roger Clark actually makes an appearance in the upcoming God of War game and if players will see him in any other Norse god roles featured in God of War: Ragnarok besides Thor, the leading speculation. Given his appearance at the end of the first game, it's fairly evident that Thor will play a significant role in the upcoming game. With any luck, Roger Clark will be the one to give the character life, but regardless who he plays, Roger Clark would be a strong addition to the lineup.

God of War: Ragnarok is set to launch in 2021 for the PS5.
