Transforming characters of Red Dead Redemption 2 into members of the opposite sex is one of the most popular activities for fans as it offers an incredible alternate take on some of video games' most iconic figures. Recently, one artist imagined Red Dead Redemption 2's Arthur Morgan as a female outlaw to widespread acclaim and virality, but now, gamers have the chance to see what a version of what the protagonist's daughter would have looked like. There will be slight spoilers for the main story mode.

For the uninitiated, Arthur Morgan is the terrorizing, vengeful protagonist who leads the sequel to 2010s Red Dead Redemption. Adored by many gamers, what makes him so interesting is that while he often resorts to murder and has very little problems about doing so, he also expresses a rather caring and loyal personality which is conveyed almost unconditionally to his fellow Red Dead Redemption 2 gang members. However, his soft tenderness side that is buried under his hard-boiled macho persona is revealed more often than not to his estranged former lover Mary Linton.

Unfortunately, by the end of the action-adventure Western, this wedge-driven relationship never truly blossoms as Mary Linton acknowledges that Arthur Morgan is highly unlikely to leave his criminal funded lifestyle behind nor abandon his trusted Van der Linde gang. Therefore, she apologizes for how their relationship turned out and returns the engagement ring he gave her. Be that as it may, this has not stopped enthusiast LDG192 from uncovering an unbelievable Red Dead Redemption 2 image that depicts an alternative timeline that sees "Arthur reunited with [Mary]," and living in Canada with their daughter "Susan Morgan."

Those who have explored some of the viral "old face" filter trends on social media may already be up to date with FaceApp. It is by no means a new app, but its popularity has likely skyrocketed thanks to the proliferation of its features, particularly the one used above which allows users to combine images of two faces to "envision a future child."

After uploading the image onto the game's official subreddit, the post went viral, receiving over 1500 upvotes and mass acclaim from the Red Dead Redemption 2 community as many seemed to get a kick out of experiencing what could have been if Mary and Arthur mended their broken relationship. The mockup character in question appears to share more predominant facial features from Mary, as both share her trademark mole and thin-bridged nose. With that said, Arthur's broad jaw-line does make an appearance, plus his iconic dirty blue shirt with brown, grass-stained pants tucked into black.

Among the theories, one user asserted that they would "play this game without question," which amassed support from others on the thread. This means that despite Rockstar Games' lack of female-driven video games, there are quite a large number of players out there who will give a woman-led Westen a try. Though it's entirely built on speculation, its apparent fans want a strong female character to follow in Arthur Morgan's footsteps, with characteristics in the same vein as Red Dead Redemption 2's Sadie Adler.

There is some good news for gamers who want the developers to change up their male-focused protagonists, as actress Alex McKenna wants Sadie Adler to lead in Red Dead Redemption 3. After all, her entire story has not been told yet as Sadie supposedly went off to South America to continue bounty hunting in the wake of the ending. So, documenting her experiences as she tries to establish a new career abroad would be an excellent change of scenery for a sequel.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is available now on PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One.
