The world of Red Dead Redemption 2 is sprawling with tons of detail, from the way animals interact to the story hints that developer Rockstar Games hides around every corner. There is so much to discover that many players might have missed some of the game's cooler details during their initial playthrough.

One element that Red Dead Redemption 2 players might not have picked up on is Dutch's genuine concern for Arthur Morgan anytime he ventures from camp for too long. Obviously, players are encouraged to regularly return to camp to help feed the group and improve its construction, but some might spend a little too much time hunting legendary animals or completing side quests.

If players do spend too much time away from the Red Dead Redemption 2 camp, Dutch will send out a member of the group to find Arthur Morgan and bring him back. Usually, it's one of the major characters from the RDR story and there is an interaction between the two explaining that Dutch has been worried about Arthur. From there, players can either select a prompt that sends them back to camp or they can ignore the request and continue about their way.

It's such a small detail in the game – one that many Red Dead Redemption 2 players likely never see. The scene also speaks to the relationship between Dutch and Arthur Morgan in the game.

Although the two outlaws are regularly at odds over Dutch's decision-making and constant planning, this detail suggests that Dutch does genuinely care about Arthur. That, or his paranoia forces him to send another member of the camp out to ensure that Arthur isn't scheming. Either way, the fact that Rockstar designed to recognize that Arthur has been away for so long and to send an NPC after him is a nice little touch.

Well before Red Dead Redemption 2 released to critical acclaim, Rockstar Games gave players hints about the importance of the camp in the game. Once players did get their hands on it, they discovered just how much effort the developers put into making sure that the camp felt like a living/breathing creation.

To this day, RDR players are sharing discoveries from their time looking at all of the characters in the camp, and how those relationships influence the events of the game. For example, there is a fun moment where Jack is caught tickling Uncle's nose in the Epilogue section of the game.

Fans still don't know if Red Dead Redemption 2 will ever get any future story content, but Red Dead Online is still going strong. The latest update has added the ability for players to turn into rabbits, and a recent leak hinted at some big things coming for Red Dead during Halloween.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is available now for PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One.
