While Red Dead Redemption 2 is renowned for its realism, but occasional glitches do occur, and they appear even more out of place when compared to the otherwise polished nature of the game. Just recently, one Red Dead Redemption 2 player captured a perfect example of this after being run over by a horse and buggy.

A brief clip shows the coveted Arabian horse getting stuck in an absolutely mind-boggling situation. While details about how the situation occurred are not given, it's likely that the player dismounted their horse directly in front of a carriage, leading to it being run over. Regardless of how it happened, the player's horse got inextricably entangled into a passerby's carriage and taken on an involuntary tour of the town.

The minute-long clip shows Arthur's horse stuck upside down on top of a carriage, being dragged around town, kicking its legs in the air. It makes for a scene that is simultaneously hilarious and heart-wrenching. It's far from unexpected, though, as oddities in Red Dead Redemption 2 connected to horses have become the rule, not the exception. For whatever reason, the horses of Red Dead Redemption 2 tend to break the game's physics worse than any other aspect, as was the case recently when a particularly magical horse managed to walk on water.

Luckily for the animal lovers in the crowd, the clip ends with the horse being dislodged and back on its feet—or, more accurately, its hooves. Unfortunately, the clip also cuts out perfectly as the unintentional horse thief points their shotgun at Arthur. Even when horses are not the subject of confounding bugs and glitches, they tend to be exposed to a lot of bad luck. Just last month, an ambitious player attempted to recreate the famous Grand Canyon jump from the movie Spirit, causing both the rider and horse to perish before making it barely 10 feet.

There's no question that Red Dead Redemption 2 will go down as one of the most detailed games in recent memory, with fans still making discoveries years after its release, so an occasional hilarious glitch or two can be easily forgiven. If anything situations like the one displayed in the above clip, only add to the enjoyment of Red Dead Redemption 2, as they offer a bit of welcome relief from the monumental task of finishing the entire game to completion. However, if players would rather not encounter physics-defying glitches, they should probably avoid horses altogether.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is available now on PC, PlayStation 4, Stadia, and Xbox One.
