Rockstar Games knows that it can keep players coming back to Red Dead Redemption 2 by consistently updating its online portion, with the studio having recently introduced new recurring timed events called Legendary Bounties. Those who dive in to Red Dead Online will be able to collect bounties on special in-game characters, unlocking unique in-game rewards like cosmetics, currency, and more.

Today, Rockstar Games has revealed the latest of such Legendary Bounties: The Wolf Man. He's on the lam in snowy foothills near Lake Isabella after committing a string of brutal murders. As his nickname suggests, luring out the hermit will involve squaring up against some wolves: carrying predator bait comes strongly recommended. Once his bounty is collected, players will be able to replay the quest after it reappears on the bounty boards, allowing one to attempt the mission on higher difficulties. Of note, attempting to catch The Wolf Man on four star difficulty or higher will require that gamers bring the vagrant back in alive to receive an award.

Gamers who successfully collect the bounty for the Wolf Man will be able to get their mitts on a red colorway edition of some fur-lined Strayhorn Boots. Once the bounty has been filled, Rockstar Games promises that the boots will be available in the player's wardrobe within 48 hours of completing the task. It doesn't matter which difficulty level one chooses, either: collecting the Wolf Man's bounty on any difficulty will trigger the reward.

The latest Red Dead Online update also brings in a new weekly collectible list for gamers to complete, with the current iteration including Cognac, the Beaulieux diamong ring, and the Beauchene ruby earrings. If one can collect all three Saint Denis-themed items before September 30th, they'll be in for a special reward. Rockstar Games is also introducing plenty of new cosmetic items available for in-game purchase, ranging from a stylish new vest, a Mexican poncho, several hats, many shirts, and even a cozy-looking scarf to welcome in the fall season.

As the calendar comes closer to Halloween, rumors of the next big Red Dead Online event have been ramping up, with many gamers believing a Red Dead Redemption 2 Undead Nightmare event is in the works. Many players have posted online saying that many more dead bodies than usual are showing up in the swamps, while others have been speculating that zombie-themed content was in the works ever since an Undead Nightmare easter egg was discovered in the late-game single player experience.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is available now for PS4 and Xbox One.
