Red Dead Online players are in for a treat this weekend, as the A Land of Opportunities event is now offering a ton of free bonuses. The most notable bonus here is the addition of triple XP, but there are other boons as well that players should take advantage of.

A Land of Opportunities sees Red Dead Online players helping Jessica LeClerk, a recently widowed woman that wants revenge on the person that killed her husband. Now players have even more incentive to help her out, as all of her missions will grant triple XP.

The event is ongoing throughout the whole week, so players will want to fit in as much Red Dead Online as they can in order to get the most out of this generous event.Thankfully, Rockstar Games has included some other benefits to make doing so as easy as possible.

As previously stated, the biggest feature of this event is the triple XP on A Land of Opportunities missions, but that triple XP also extends to all free roam events and all free roam missions. What's more, players will be able to more efficiently farm these events since the price of fast travel is discounted by 50% across the board until Monday, July 13th, which should make travelling much more cost effective. This should also help with any other activity players want to pursue, although the triple XP probably makes it worth setting aside other goals for a short while.

But who cares about all of this XP and convenience without looking great? The barber shop will now offer completely free hair, makeup, and dentistry, so players have no excuse to not look their best while helping Jessica LeClerk or grinding out free roam missions. In addition to this, Ability Cards will be available at a 50% discount, and coats, shirts, boots, and hats can be purchased at a 40% discount. Like the experience boosts, these changes will last throughout the week, so players have time to take advantage of them.

While fans are generally happy about these boosts to XP, the overarching feeling is one of disappointment. Players have been waiting 7 months for an update or new DLC and Rockstar Games has been mostly silent. This kind of content is certainly nice, but some feel as though it is a slap in the face given how long they've been waiting for anything substantial. Either way, players still invested in the game will want to take advantage of this event before it ends.

Red Dead Online is available now on PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One.
