10 Reach Rank 44
Make sure you reach rank 44 before heading to Lemoyne to have the proper equipment. For starters, the swamp lure is unlocked at rank 30, and although it is not necessary to occasionally catch big fish, it will definitely increase your chances. Also, express rifle ammo unlocks at rank 31. Express ammo gives you the opportunity to take down big game with a single head shot, giving you perfect pelts and skins. Don’t forget the slugs which unlock at rank 44. These will be a lifesaver in hairy situations.
9 Perfect Swamp Rifle
The Bolt Action Rifle is the best rifle for tackling big game hunting in Lemoyne. With most notable stats of 72.00 damage, 82.00 accuracy, and range of 75.00, the Bolt Action Rifle allows the outlaw to stalk deadly prey from a distance and harvest perfect pelts like a world-class hunter.
The Bolt Action Rifle is unlocked at Rank 7 and can be modified with rifling for more range, and improved sights and scope for better accuracy.
8 Keep Your Shotgun Handy
As mentioned before, Lemoyne is filled with some of the deadliest animals in Red Dead Online. Regardless if outlaws are walking around at night in the bayou or enjoying a relaxing midday fish at the lake, danger is always lurking. The swamps are filled with huge alligators, poisonous snakes, and panthers just waiting for the unsuspecting outlaws to drop his or her guard. This is why you will always need your trusty shotgun loaded up with slugs unlocked at rank 44.
7 Watch Out For Alligators
Whether if outlaws are putting out Predator Bait to intentionally hunt alligators or just traversing the marshes of Lemoyne, alligators are powerful animals not to be taken lightly. Hunting alligators and harvesting perfect skins can be lucrative in Red Dead Online. A perfect alligator skin is worth $3.50. Alligator teeth and meat can be sold for good money as well. Only one large skin can be carried at a time, but don't be discouraged. Keep harvesting until the max out on meat and teeth.
6 Hunt Everything
Alligators are not the only thing prevalent in the swamps. A diligent outlaw can also find countless birds, alligators, turtles, wild boar, snakes, and deer roaming Lemoyne. While riding around Lemoyne, keep a sharp eye out and your Varmint Rifle at the ready.

5 Fishing Equipment
Unlike in the story mode of Red Dead Redemption 2, players will not be given a fishing rod in Red Dead Online. Instead, the outlaw will have to unlock and buy his or her own. The fishing rod unlocks at rank 14 and can be purchased at any general store for $32.50. 4 Types Of Fish
The most notable prized fish are the Bullhead Catfish, the Longnose Gar, and the Lake Sturgeon. The Bullhead Catfish can weigh up to six pounds, and are good eating for any outlaw on the run. The Longnose Gar and Lake Sturgeon can weigh up to 20 pounds and net big profits. The Longnose Gar can be sold at the butcher in Saint Denis for $5.00, and the Lake Sturgeon for $7.50. The best way to catch these prized fish is to use the Swamp Lure and be patient.
3 Catching The Legendary Longnose Gar
Before going after the swamp monster known as the Legendary Longnose Gar, purchase the Special Swamp Lure. The Special Swamp Lure unlocks at rank 41 and costs $20 at the bait and tackle shop. The best time to seek out the Legendary Gar is on an rainy, overcast day. It can be found on the south side of Lagras, directly across the lake from the bait and tackle shop. The Legendary Longnose Gar weighs over 41 pounds and is over 50 inches long.
2 Legendary Animals
Lemoyne is home to three legendary animals in Red Online: the Legendary Wakpa Boar, the Legendary Sun Gator, and the Legendary Teca Gator. These animals will not spawn until the Naturalist Role is unlocked. The Legendary Wakpa Boar can be found in northeast Lemoyne during the day. The Legendary Teca Gator spawns on the southeast coast of Lemoyne during thunderstorms or foggy weather. The Legendary Sun Gator resides in Lagras in the area of the islands, to the east of Lemoyne.
1 Stock Up On Herbs
The swamps of Red Dead Online are also a great place for an outlaw to stock up on the herbs needed to make tonics and medicine. Outlaws can spot herbs easily by using Eagle Eye. Chanterelles are a prevalent herb (well, mushroom) found in the swamps used to increase Health Core and can be crafted into Herbivore Bait. Indian Tobacco is another herb essential to an outlaw’s success. Indian Tobacco increases Dead Eye Core and is a key ingredient in making Miracle Tonics and Snake Oil.
