Rockstar Games' latest Red Dead Online update, Blood Money, delivers brand-new crime and robbery activities across the Western sandbox. To get started, a meeting with Guido Martelli down in Saint Denis’ Garden is required before the player can start any of the missions.

Encountering Guido, a character briefly featured in Red Dead Redemption 2, will cue a cutscene that discusses the unique business opportunity, and working for his organization can earn players the latest, unique system of exchange: Capitale. This currency is earned exclusively through a series of criminal activities dotted around the map on outlaws such as Anthony Foreman, Sean Macguire, James Langton, and essentially any stranger who will offer low honor missions.

With the cinematic over, meeting with the previously mentioned crooks will now offer two types of missions: “Free Roam Missions” and “Blood Money Missions,” the latter being the newest preferred option for Capitale. Once selected, all-inclusive, there are six Blood Money Missions, with half of them having three parts before total completion; specifically, “The Jeb Phelps Contract,” “The Railroad Contract,” and “The Bluewater Contract.”

The other repeatable crimes work a lot like the stranger missions found in the story mode; they comprise of a “Stagecoach Stickup,” where the player strikes a lucrative wagon smuggling Capitale, “Dirty Money, Dirty Deeds,” a transgression that involves ravishing a campsite of undesirables who possess a secret stash of Capitale. Then finally, “Clearing House,” a similar crime that results in plundering some unsuspecting homesteaders who have been hiding Capitale.

In the other corner of the Blood Money Missions, there are “Opportunities,” with the first being “Covington Emerald.” Opportunities yield three difficulty options, the tougher begetting higher rewards, but starting any of these jobs will require Capitale, fifteen being the necessary amount to play on standard difficulty.

Doing any of the repeatable crimes will pay in cash and gold nuggets, with a reminder to loot enemies, lockboxes, and chests for any loose Capitale. Finding and securing the special currency is the only way to notify Guido Martelli that progression is being made towards the opportunities since there is no specialist role progression system, a feature that was made apparent in the previous Red Dead Online updates such as the Bounty Hunter role, or the Collector, which offered ways to earn quick cash.

To achieve the goals, be prepared to conduct debt collections, risky robberies, kidnappings, and more. All of which usually involve finding Capitale only to hand it to a marked individual. Once completed, there is usually a cool-down timer, so the player will need to take up the other atrocities for the time being.

Remember, these can be done alone or with a posse, and the Red Dead Online Crimes and Opportunities will be available from the following strangers: Joe at Osman Grove or New Hanover, Anthony Foreman at Radley's House, and Rhodes or Doyle's Tavern, Saint Denis. Also, Sean Macguire at Tall Trees or Great Plains. And finally, James Langton at Hennigan's Stead or Lake Don Julio cabin, New Austin.

These associates may be identified on the map by their $ icons. Still, if the player has never interacted with them before, they may require completing a couple of Free Roam Missions before offering any Blood Money assignments. Once their trust is gained, speak with them to learn about the latest activities available, then go out and perform their wicked business.

Red Dead Online is available right now for PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One.
