Red Dead Redemption 2 is continuing to entertain its player-base almost a whole month after its release in October thanks to its gargantuan amount of content, and it's only about to get bigger once the title's online multiplayer mode - simply called Red Dead Online - releases. While developer Rockstar have yet to officially confirm a release date, it most likely will arrive by the end of this month. And we've already got an albeit very small sampling of it courtesy of a leak.
The website RockstarINTEL, which is dedicated to Red Dead Redemption 2 news, as well as other Rockstar titles, was able to discover files related to the online mode on Rockstar's official website, which the developer had left publicly accessible, among them being an image from Red Dead Online's first mission. For legal reasons, we will not be displaying the image but anyone interested in seeing it can find it via the link at the bottom of the article.
The picture, which RockstarINTEL have confirmed isn't from the game's main single-player, shows some characters being held in the back of a jail wagon. Considering that we already know that the online's first mission will reward players with a "Breakout" trophy, it's safe to assume that it's related to the image and will involve players having to free the prisoners. The image in question is also a feed image, meaning that when the mission's completed, it will appear on a player's social club as proof of completion so players can expect to receive more photos like this with every successful mission.
While the online mode still could be a ways off, there's still plenty to do in the game's main campaign thanks to its multitude of optional quests and hidden secrets, which we here at GameRant have written up several guides of in order to help struggling players. Recently, we wrote up one on how to complete Algernon Wasp's 1st Exotic Items List.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is available right now on PS4 and Xbox One. Our review of the game can be found here.
