Red Dead Online players can earn some extra XP this week. Players can gain an extra 50% Role XP on Trader and Moonshiner missions, as well as being able to take advantage of some great discounts.

The XP boost is available for Trader Sell, Trader Free Roam, Resupply, Moonshiner Sell, Bootlegger, and Story Missions. There are also a ton of discounts on Moonshine Bar and Band Expansions, as well as on stable slots, saddles, and role items. Red Dead Online has a history of giving its players options to earn extra rewards and XP, even giving out free gold bars to players earlier this month.

Moonshiners are a fairly recent role, and its addition to the game gave players the ability to start their own Red Dead Online businesses. Although Moonshiners and Traders are benefiting the most from this week's event, every player can participate in the new Showdown Series, which allows players to participate in an "explosive variation of Name Your Weapon." The event gives players extra points when completing kills with combustible weapons.

This isn't the first time Red Dead Online has offered players an 50% XP bonus. Earlier this month, the bonus went to players who completed Free Roam Events. The Wild West-themed game seems to be offering a lot of opportunities for players this year. This might be because stay-at-home orders and social distancing across the country have led to a spike in people playing video games from home.

Red Dead Online hasn't had a completely positive month, so it makes sense that the game might be offering players something to make up for a recent technical issue that has caused problems for some players. The game has been experiencing server issues lately, leading to "limited functionality" for some. Hopefully that issue will get resolved soon, and when it does, players will have an added incentive to play more and get XP bonuses this week.

Moonshiners and Traders get the potential XP bonuses, and Moonshiners also get Bar and Band expansions, making this is a great in-game opportunity for multiple roles and therefore multiple players. Anyone who needs a new saddle or stable can also benefit from the sales. Not only that, but Rockstar recently announced that it would be donating a percentage of its revenue for the next two months to COVID-19 relief efforts. Players can get extra gear for their game and donate to a good cause at the same time.

Red Dead Online is available now for PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One.
