Red Dead Redemption 2 player has managed to plunge the DC universe into 1898 by recreating one of Batman's notorious villains, The Penguin. With a bit of ingenuity and careful consideration of customization choices, an unmistakable tribute to the one-and-only Oswald Cobblepot was made in the world of Red Dead Redemption 2.

While Red Dead 2 offers a slew of elaborate character customization choices, it's not often that players take advantage to such brilliant lengths, but Redditor maxik334 did exactly that utilizing everything from the weight gain slider to the various clothing options available in-game. The Red Dead 2 version of The Penguin is replete with a fur overcoat, ragged tie, rotting teeth, and signature black tophat, but with a black leather holster at his hip. Of course, the recreation draws inspiration from Danny Devito's iconic portrayal of The Penguin in 1992's Batman Returns and not Colin Farrell's most recent version.

Beyond a tiny bit of editing to add a chain to their character's vest and a ribbon on the tophat, maxik334 managed to make their version of The Penguin using only clothing options available in-game. They also shared an alternative look for their character devoid of tophat and overcoat, stripped down to only a dress shirt and suspenders. With one final trick to round out the look, makix334 photoshopped the skin tone of The Penguin to achieve the ghoulishly pale look from Batman Returns, and all commenters agreed that the character was a worthy tribute to one of Batman's greatest villains.

Despite releasing almost 3 years ago, fans are still constantly discovering new ways to enjoy the game. While this recreation of The Penguin is impressive, it's just one of the thousands of potential options for fan tributes. With a huge combination of customization options, the only limit is fans' imaginations. Just recently, another Redditor managed to pay tribute to the Tron franchise using only a moonshine-soaked pelt and an unwitting horse while someone else decided to recreate Shay Cormac from the Assassin's Creed franchise.

In one of the more unique tributes, one player decided to recreate the King of Pop himself, Michael Jackson in-game, which they showed off in a brief clip set to the song "Smooth Criminal." As the game continues to grow in popularity, the number of unexpected characters to be found online will only continue to grow. For now, The Penguin stands as one of the most accurate recreations that fans have seen so far.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is currently available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
