Red Dead Online is essentially a clear blackboard for players to explore and develop their very own gunslinging desperado. This is entirely thanks to Rockstar Games' emphasis on total freedom for character customisation. Now, one talented gamer with an eye for detail has stunningly transported one of Japan's most popular superhero franchises into the Old American wild west by using Red Dead Redemption 2's vast gallery of unique outfits.

One of the best things about the acclaimed 2018 action-adventure Western is the freedom it offers creative players when roaming the vast, open-world surroundings. Not only can they steal things, shoot things, or emote to things, but the in-game character can visit one of Red Dead Online's many general stores or tailors to customize their appearance. From flat caps to stovepipe top hats, there are hundreds of different fashionable cowboy accessories that can be purchased and then worn so that players can stand out when traversing the frontier.

With Red Dead Online's extensive creation engine at their disposal, Reddit user ImpressivePin9248 has cleverly recreated the immeasurably powerful Saitama from One Punch Man. Everything makes the cut on this Western digital interpretation of the anime series protagonist, including his iconic bald head, yellow jumpsuit, plus his matching crimson boots and gloves. Investigating closer reveals that even the character's trademark almost-emotionless stare is also amazingly present.

Because of this achievement, ImpressivePin9248's post went viral with over 1,000 upvotes, as many users went to the replies to celebrate One Punch Man's entry into Red Dead Online. In a more casual stance, leading the gallery is a precise recreation of Saitama posing before the campsite. This is then followed up with the iconic superhero standing on a pier, armed to the teeth with a rifle and two sawed-off shotguns, although we very much doubt he'll be needing any guns when under attack.

For the uninitiated, One Punch Man initially started life as a webcomic back in early 2009, after being conceived by an artist known only as ONE. However, the series truly hit its stride when it was later picked up by a couple of artists who redrew the entire webcomic but as a high-quality manga, which further resulted in an anime series bringing the adventures of its titular main character onto the small screen. One Punch Man stars Saitama, a man who can defeat any opponent in just one punch, which is where the show's satirical edge comes from, as his interactions often lead to hilarious non-sequiturs, slapstick action, and witty dialogue.

Overall, although nearly three years since the best-selling cowboy-shooter hit store shelves, Red Dead Online remains to have a dedicated community that continues to flex its creativity by producing some of the most interesting in-game creations. Not only that, there have been several real-world tributes to the video game too, with one artist even creating a drawing in Red Dead Redemption 2's art style.

Red Dead Online is available now on PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One.
