The sprawling open world of Red Dead Online allows players to do a lot of creative things, both intentionally and by accident. One Red Dead Online player recently pulled off what may be one of the most impressive--and seasonal--dismounts in the game's history when they were bucked off a horse and landed directly in a coffin.

Reddit user indefinitevalue shared a short, 10-second-long video of themself riding a horse through what appears to be an abandoned campsite. Soon after the clip started, they rode directly into a wagon and were catapulted off the horse, over the wagon, and into an open coffin. All of this happened soon after the Red Dead Online Halloween Event started, making it feel very seasonally appropriate.

Indefinitevalue's character lay in the coffin for several seconds, their legs sticking out over the sides, before they bounced out and the horse picked itself up off the ground. The video ends with them scrambling back to the horse and mounting up as though nothing had even happened. While this doesn't appear to be a glitch, per se, players might consider the poster's picture-perfect dive into a coffin during the spookiest season to be a scary coincidence in Red Dead Online.

Adding to the bizarrely funny and spooky atmosphere of the video is the fact that indefinitevalue's character appears to be dressed up for the Halloween season. While the avatar does not seem to be wearing a mask or a specific element of Red Dead Online's existing seasonal costumes, the avatar is wearing dark colors, what appears to be a long red coat, and knee-high boots, all of which combine to make it look quite witchy. The sight of the coat turning from black to red as the character approaches a pool of light could be considered downright spooky.

As of writing, it appears that other Red Dead Online fans are impressed by indefinitevalue's video. The original poster has confirmed that they achieved this perfect fall in one shot, entirely by accident, which some replies find even more impressive. Several users congratulated indefinitevalue for getting into the spirit of Halloween, while another declared it the best dismount in Red Dead Redemption 2 history. A third user theorized that the fall was in fact foreshadowing for the character's eventual death and a fourth declared that an NPC who fell like that would just stay in the coffin until they died. Yet another user shared their own story about launching themself into a wagon, though their tale ended with a forced reload.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is available now for PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One.
