Thanks to Rockstar Games' emphasis on total creative freedom for character customisation, Red Dead Online is essentially a blank blackboard that allows players to develop their very own gunslinging outlaw. Now, one talented gamer with a fastidious eye for detail has incredibly transported one of the most iconic protagonists from cinema to Red Dead Online.

For the uninitiated, there's more to Red Dead Online than just tumbleweed, cacti, and bar fights because players can pay a visit to one of Red Dead Redemption 2's general stores or tailors to customize their in-game character's appearance. From spur-tacked boots to bandanas, there are tons of cowboy cosmetics that can be tried on for size. But, while most players throw on a bandolier and call it a day, there are some imaginative creatives out there bringing pop culture icons like Homer Simpson and Walter White into the old American frontier.

Now, by choosing from Red Dead Redemption 2's vast gallery of unique outfits, Reddit user Dennymcclane has remarkably recreated vengeful widower William Munny in Red Dead Online. This digital interpretation of one of the wild west's deadliest gunslingers has it all, including his iconic navy neckerchief, gambler's tailcoat, and trademark squint. Inspecting closer finds that even actor Clint Eastwood's fine hair and staunch signature stare are also amazingly present.

For those who may be unaware of the Acadamy Awards Best Picture winner, Unforgiven is a 1992 American Revisionist Western film starring, produced, and directed by Clint Eastwood. Praised for its narrative, viewers follow former outlaw Willaim Munny, who is pulled back into the life of crime after embarking on a murderous mission to find a gang of villains. Along the way, the movie presents bold views on themes like perseverance, revenge, and family, which means it's safe to say that Munny will not have any problems fitting into Red Dead Online.

Surprisingly, this is not the first time gamers have brought Clint Eastwood into Rockstar's action-adventure video game. Besides other in-game character tributes, recently, one artist crossed the Dollars Trilogy with Red Dead Redemption 2 to create some impressive fan art.

Overall, extraordinary creations like this prove that the Red Dead Online community is far from creative bankruptcy, even though it's been three years since the multiplayer mode debuted. After all, there are still many active players who log on to flex their imagination and pay homage to some of the Western genre's greatest influences.

Red Dead Online is available now on PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One.
