Red Dead Online has its fair share of bugs, but most lean on the side of funny rather than frustrating. This latest bug is no different, as a Red Dead Online player fires off a revolver round that performs less like a pistol bullet and more like a Thunder Gun shot from Call of Duty Zombies.

With some Red Dead Online players struggling due to their horse causing problems, it is nice to see one player gain the upper hand in a viral clip. The revolver shot fired off by the player is a bit too powerful, though, as Reddit user TheIRLTitan titles the post “when did they increase the power of the Navy Revolver?” The funny post name is certainly an understatement, as the shot fired off decimates everyone on the street as opposed to the intended target.

Carrying the body of a player wearing one of Red Dead Online’s inconsistent animal hats, a carriage rolls up and catches TheIRLTitan red-handed. The player attempts to kill the driver before beginning their escape from the scene of the crime, but the shot from the weapon does not do damage instantly. After a short delay, the bullet finally goes off. Rather than just killing the driver, though, it sends the entire carriage flying in an absurd way. Horse and all, everything in the path of the revolver shot goes flying.

The clip is short but undeniably hilarious, with fans loving the video and commenting to show appreciation. One comment from xadirius references Skyrim, saying that the revolver “spec’d into its dragon shouts.” Another comment from Bloody_Dingo says, “I love when GTA physics leak into RDO,” referencing the often-absurd ragdoll physics of the Grand Theft Auto series.

The ridiculous moment with the Navy Revolver in Red Dead Online is much like one that happened to a player within Red Dead 2’s story. The Red Dead 2 player fired an explosive revolver shot, though they have no idea how they did so. The other player’s shot caused a carriage to flip rather than fly, though, and there was no delay on the bullet’s odd effect. The player in the other clip fired off a Cattleman Revolver shot, indicating that multiple revolvers seem to be bugged as opposed to only the Navy.

For players less interested in the silly bugs of the mode, knowing Red Dead Online’s Ram’s Head and Condor Locations should prove useful. Players hunting down the items may also need to be on the lookout for buggy revolvers for the foreseeable future, though.

Red Dead Online is available now on PC, PlayStation 4, Stadia, and Xbox One.
