Red Dead Redemption 2 allows players to live out their Wild West fantasies, providing options for those interested in robbery, hunting, or anything in between. One player even claims to have found love in Red Dead Redemption 2, though it is not quite what it sounds like.

In a well-edited clip posted to the Red Dead Online subreddit, cow-wow shares her story of finding true love in another online player. The opening of the clip sees cow-wow walking around the city as normal when she catches another player walking into a police station, likely paying off a bounty or something else not generally harmful. Cow-wow seems to be eyeing up her fellow Red Dead Online player’s horse while he is away, but before she can hop on, he returns.

LXXIXBeenTrippin is the name of the other player, and he does not take kindly to the potential thievery of his Halloween-themed horse companion. He pushes cow-wow once, but she seems unphased, remaining by the horse. A second push ensues, causing the “romance” to begin as the two players awkwardly circle each other for several seconds. Before long, as is usually the case in Red Dead Online, things get hostile.

The police do not seem to care as the two criminals brawl in the street, as with even Red Dead Redemption 2’s NPCs looting, the police have likely had their fill of crime-stopping. Still, the very lengthy fistfight that breaks out between cow-wow and LXXIXBeenTrippin is one worth watching, especially with the hilarious romantic music playing in the background. Cow-wow eventually turns the tables, winning the fist fight and killing her fellow player.

As she lifts up the body and goes to carry it away, however, one of Red Dead Redemption 2’s troublesome horses tramples cow-wow, killing her as well. With an unfair conclusion to the fight, the “romance” picks up once again, this time with weapons. While cow-wow wields a knife effectively, she eventually loses out to LXXIXBeenTrippin, as a hammer strike kills off the potential steed-stealer. A bonus clip shows the two doing battle on a train that ends with a neck snap, an appropriate conclusion to the hilarious clip.

While Red Dead Online is full of interesting players, a budding romance seems to be a first within the popular Rockstar game. Hopefully, cow-wow and LXXIXBeenTrippin became closer after the violent affair, and maybe now their flirting will not end in one of the two players being dead.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is available now on PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One.
