Red Dead Online continues to keep the beautifully crafted world of Red Dead Redemption 2 a thrilling place to venture and explore. The most recent update to the game saw players tackle the role of the Naturalist out in the West. As players continue the battle between Gus and Harriet, two new creatures have been added to make the choice even harder.

The Rockstar Twitter account announces that two new predators have been unleashed into the deserts of New Austin and the lush mountains of West Elizabeth. The Legendary Red Streak and the Midnight Paw Coyotes are now roaming the Old West with each taking the aforementioned locations respectively.

Players can find Red Streak in Pike's Basin, a notorious location from the original Red Dead Redemption that is best known for its canyons and ambushes. Midnight Paw will be skulking around the prairies southeast of Strawberry, a town best known as being a bloodbath due to the jail break of one Micah Bell. These creatures come as the next addition for Red Dead Online's Naturalist Update which added a more player versus environment elements as well as conservation efforts.

Each coyote will allow the player to craft the Red Streak and Midnight Paw coats by returning the pelts to Gus. If players craft either of these coats before August 18 they will receive an additional reward of another free choice in coat. Players can always choose the option to study the animals and bring back samples to Harriet for payment and XP. It is recommended players don't conflate the two as there is a pretty nasty punishment from Harriet should she see those pelts.

While the critters are a welcomed addition to the hunters looking for a new fur outfit, for some players its more content for an underwhelming update. When the Naturalist content launched in late July, players were not happy with the new update to Red Dead Online. Some considered the essence of the naturalist role contradictory to frontier pursuits and that the 25 gold bar buy in was not worth the investment.

While some fans might not be too keen on the wildlife efforts of the Naturalist update, there is always the upcoming Halloween spooktacular. Despite being months away from this year's Red Dead Online fiesta of horror, images leaked for the Halloween Pass through the Naturalist update. There are some striking costume designs and weapons that should be a sharp turn from the current nature loving set piece players are in.

Red Dead Online is available now for PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One.
