Turning in-game characters into cosplays has become quite the pastime among players in Red Dead Online, which boasts a robust array of customization options and outfits. Recently, one of these players has used an older western film starring Arnold Schwarzenegger as their latest inspiration to create a new Red Dead Online character that cosplays the actor in his prime.

Reddit user dennymcclane shared the creation in the image below, along with a shot from the film to compare the cosplay with the Schwarzenegger character. The result is uncanny, especially when looking at the job done with the character customization options available in Red Dead Online that perfectly recreates the actor's face in-game.

For this latest cosplay, the film that the player has chosen to pull from for inspiration is a 1979 Western Comedy calledThe Villain, and the character known in the movie as Handsome Stranger. Essentially, recreating this character comes down to making a muscular man in a fully white outfit all the way up to a shining, ivory ten gallon hat. The clothes themselves likely weren't entirely difficult to find among the long list of outfits in Red Dead Online, with the biggest hurdle coming down to fine-tuning the facial features.

Several fans have already noted how close the face looks to Schwarzenegger in the comments of the original Reddit post, noting the actor's other films from a similar time in his career that the character looks like. The face itself is certainly the most impressive part of this cosplay and has an almost uncanny quality with how well the player managed to capture the younger look of the actor. It makes for a particularly interesting recreation within Red Dead Online that gives a whole new spin on adventuring through the Wild West and completing quests with this iconic Arnold look.

In the case of this specific cosplay, choosing a film like The Villain seems like a bit of an odd decision, considering that the movie might be a more obscure film in Schwarzenegger's catalog for most players. This may have been due to a lack of westerns that star Arnold, which might have led to the decision being made backward to find a way to fit the actor into Red Dead Online's art style rather than starting from the movie. Regardless of the cause, the work put into recreating the actor's chiseled jawline is an impressive feat done with the character customization options available.

Red Dead Online is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
