Red Dead Online has seen no shortage of memorable and funny moments, with players posting wacky clips online every day. One of the newer moments captures a cruel Read Dead Online player getting punished for a sneaky kill, and his death could not have come in a more entertaining way.

While some players search for the secret ghost buck in Red Dead Online, others just want to watch the world burn. Reddit user FancyFellaRDR2 is a member of the second group of the Red Dead Online player base, as he posted a video showing him kill a harmless player. The players seem to be having a calm interaction until FancyFella pulls out his bow, killing the innocent player instantly. From here, though, karma begins to do its part.

FancyFella’s victim falls into water in an area that is reminiscent of one seen in a recent Red Dead Online gator attack, and it initially looks like his killer is going to get away with the crime. Suddenly, though, the body of the dead player bobs out of the water in both a funny and startling way. With that reappearance comes a massive, sudden explosion that kills FancyFella instantly.

This satisfying moment of revenge initially confused commenters, with a few people asking what really happened to cause the dead. As it turns out, the answer was quite simple: the aggressive player shot their target with an explosive arrow as opposed to a regular one. This mistake on their part is hilarious, as had they not gone for the unnecessary kill, they likely would not have died. With killers like this populating many of the new, smaller lobbies of Red Dead Online, it will likely be very satisfying for some players to see one get punished for their killing.

Red Dead Online is full of moments like this, and with some extremely unique players out there, these moments will likely be prevalent for some time to come. Red Dead Online has a clown musician, after all, with a random player somewhere in the world joining games and playing a violin for no reason whatsoever. While encountering a moment of karma is a bit more likely than finding the musical clown, the moment remains an extremely entertaining watch.

While some fans are already pondering what could come in Red Dead Redemption 3, the current version of Red Dead clearly still has a lot to give. With some players still finding secrets in the open world of the single-player story, and other players doing crazy things in the game’s online portion, Red Dead 2 should easily hold fans over until the next game in the series arrives.

Red Dead Online is out now for PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One.
