Red Dead Online makes sure that there's more to the Online mode than just a beautiful open world. Rockstar Games added roles to Red Dead Online to give players ways to earn quick cash, gold, and XP. On top of that, each role has some really fun missions to take part in. The Collector is a role that stands out from the bunch. It requires traveling to different places and scouting high and low for rare precious collectibles.
The Collector's role also takes the most patience. It is best that the Player has a keen eye and ear, and goes about very methodically. If played right, the Collector can also be the most lucrative role out of the four roles. The role also has some unique cool-looking unlocks that adorn the player with beautifully crafted pieces, making the role very worthwhile. Here are 10 tips every Collector should know.

Without dedicated spawns, it is impossible to reliably farm the jewelry sets in RDO. Gamers will spend hours trying to track down all of the RNG sets in the game. Thankfully, there are still four sets of Tarot cards that spawn in the same locations. Each of the sets is worth more than $200. There are a few different other consistent spawns too. Collectors can still get rich in 2021, and the following tips will explain how.Â
10 Collect The Tarot Sets
The most efficient way to make money as a collector is by farming the Tarot sets on a daily basis. By collecting all of the cards in each set, collectors can net $1,053 in just over an hour. Each day, the cards will be on one of six spawn cycles.
People will want to use one of the many interactive maps. The Jean Ropke Collectors Map on Github tracks all of the rotating spawns, making it easier for players to plan their route.
9 Collector's Map Strategy
To get all of the Tarot cards and a few other collectibles, players will need a sound strategy. Using the map above, people can move from sector to sector on the map, looting any dedicated spawns in that area.
By using this method, each area of the map can be looted methodically without the need to fast travel every minute. While traveling from place to place, it is important to mark off each item that has been looted to avoid confusion. All of the clutter on the map can be very overwhelming.
8 Other Reliable Collectibles
There are a few other items on rotating spawns that collectors can pick up while looking for the Tarot cards. These items include the Bird Eggs, Antique Alcohol Bottles, and American Wild Flowers. By collecting all of them, players will net almost $500 in addition to the Tarot sets.
While it may be tempting, gamers should not go too far out of their way for the additional collector's items. If they are in the same sector as the card, it will only take a minute or so of extra time to locate the other consistent spawns. By picking up a couple of these during a loot cycle, players will be able to make a lot of money as a collector.
7 Loot Every Time
Any Red Dead player, Collector or not, should make a habit of looting enemies. However, for Collectors and aspirants, looting is a tad more crucial. There's a chance that corpses and saddlebags will contain collectible items necessary for leveling up the Collector role. Even non-Collectors will benefit from this since they would still get Collector role XP in doing so.
This is beneficial for when they eventually do become a Collector. If on a mission, a Collector should loot all the bodies before heading to the next area of objective. He should also communicate with his team to not trigger the next phase until all the bodies have been looted.
6 Increase Horse Bonding
A Collector's role requires them to travel across the map in search of rare collectibles. A Horse's maintenance is essential since varying terrain and long journeys are expected. Bonding with the Horse increases its Health and Stamina bar capacity.
A Collector can utilize this to get places faster and acquire collectibles more quickly. In addition to this, a well-bonded Horse with its increased Stamina can take the place of a boat. This allows the Collector to reach islands where Bird Eggs can be found.
5 Sell Duplicates to Madam Nazar
Newer Collectors may be confused at first as to why after collecting nine Bird Eggs, their pouch only contains 4/9 of the Bird Eggs. This is because there are nine kinds of Bird Eggs to collect, and in collecting nine Bird Eggs total, they have only obtained 4/9 variants of Bird Eggs. That means that they've collected duplicates. This is puzzling at first but everything will be clearer once the Collector tries to sell their items to Madam Nazar.
Collectors should sell all the duplicates reserving one of each Bird Egg type for themselves. The same goes for the other collectible types. This is so that they can collect these as a set, and sell the collective whole for a much higher price to Madam Nazar. In selling the Duplicates, a lot of money is earned. Often, Collectors would be surprised to see how many duplicates they have.
4 Know What To Look For
*There are a number of different types of collectibles to find in RDO. Knowing where to look for certain items will help in conjunction with the interactive map.
Wild Flowers can be found in open grassy areas. Bird Eggs can be found on trees, on the ground, or in holes. Liquor Bottles, Tarot Cards, and Family Heirlooms are almost always indoors. Once the Collector sees the recurring pattern for each collectible, it will make finding them a lot simpler.
3 Take Note of Landmarks
Landmarks are good places to look for collectibles. In an open field, possible landmarks could include a run-down shack, some ruins, or a disassembled camp. In a seaside town like Van Horn, a landmark could be the lighthouse, the seaport, or the wrecked ships.
Though there are not many landmarks in towns, a good idea to determine where to look is to again assess what is being looked for. When in an industrial city like Saint Denis, searching for a Wild Flower is enough to determine the farm areas as landmarks.
2 Take Advantage of Rockstar XP Events
Rockstar is generous when it comes to XP boosts and discounts. For Red Dead Online, they would regularly roll out massive XP boosts for particular roles and throw in some huge discounts for them as well. This is a good time to play since it will level up the Collector much faster, and profits are greater because of the discounts.
Sometimes, maps would go as low as $2 as opposed to the usual $20. With these events, a Collector can level up from 1 to 20 in as fast as two days. On top of this, limited-time clothing can also be bought from the General Store.
1 Play the Other Roles as Well
The Collector role is the only role that levels up even when committing to the other three roles. Missions are a good source of enemies to fight off and loot. Aside from playing Story Missions, playing the other roles will also generate random encounters with enemies, allowing for more collectibles to possibly loot.
Playing as the Moonshiner will have the player run into some Revenue Agent Checkpoints occasionally. Sometimes, their bodies will contain collectible Liquor Bottles. The same also applies to Trader and Bounty Hunter shootouts.
