In this week's Red Dead Online update, bounty hunters are getting some extra incentives to go search out wanted criminals. Outlaw Pass Number 4 ends this week, and developer Rockstar Games is adding some more reasons for players to continue the grind toward Rank 100. Last week's update awarded double XP and cash bonuses in Most Wanted, one of the PvP modes in Red Dead Online. This week bounty hunters will receive 2,000 XP for completed bounties, along with a few other additional bonuses over the next seven days.

The Bounty Hunter is one of five main Specialist Roles a player can choose in Red Dead Online, also including Trader, Collector, Moonshiner, and Naturalist. Bounty Hunters track down criminals for rewards, and if a player manages to obtain the Prestigious Bounty Hunter License they can increase their Bounty Hunter rank more. Prestigious Bounty Hunters can get access to high-level items and Infamous Bounty targets, but they will need to make sure they have some key Bounty Hunter purchases to find success.

On top of the 2,000 XP for completing bounties, Bounty Hunters will receive double role XP and an offer for 30 percent off any Established or Distinguished Bounty Hunter item. Legendary Bounties will also net players even more rewards, as they will earn double Ability Card XP for participating in Legendary Bounty missions during the next seven days.

Bounty Hunters with a Prestigious License will get all the same benefits previously mentioned but can also hunt down 13 different Infamous Bounties for 25 poison throwing knives and 100 rounds of express rifle ammo per Legendary Bounty. Bounty Hunters are also encouraged to make sure they have A New Source of Employment telegrams now that Red Dead Online has added telegram missions. Successfully escorting a delivery wagon from the Brittlebrush Trawl grants Bounty Hunters an offer for 30 percent off the Bounty Hunter Wagon until March 15.

Red Dead Online players that aren't Bounty Hunters will still get a reward for a free Ability Card this week just for playing. They will also get a free Treasure Map and a bonus 5,000 XP. Next week will signal a new Outlaw Pass with new rewards and incentives to celebrate the occasion.

Despite the weekly updates Red Dead Online players have come to expect, there hasn't been a major content update for the game in a while. Bounty Hunters who have been hunting for a while in Red Dead Online may find some excitement in the Legendary Bounties, but otherwise the update simply rewards players for doing more of the same. Newcomers may still find fun in the weekly updates, and there are bound to be a few outlaws wet behind the ears considering Red Dead Online recently released as a standalone game for the low price of $4.99.

Red Dead Online is available now on PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One.
