A sequel to the beloved gaming-centric novel Ready Player One has been announced and is slated for release in November.

Released in 2011, Ready Player One is Ernest Cline's debut novel blending gaming and literature into a dystopian tale that follows Wade Watts on his search for a Easter eggs in a  hyper-realistic virtual reality game. His journey through the MMORPG is both a sci-fi action-adventure sprinkled with a bit of romance, eventually becoming a New York Times bestseller. And now fans of the pop-culture classic are getting hyped up again since the release of Ready Player One's movie adaptation directed by Steven Spielberg, because the sequel entitled Ready Player Two has just been announced.

In the past, Cline has always noted that he'd like to continue the series, and it's been in the works since as early as 2015. Finally, readers will get to enjoy the sequel, coming November 24th, 2020. Not much is currently known about the plot for the Ready Player One sequel, but it is reported that it will encompass the same characters but with a completely different storyline, while still exploring pop culture references, similar to its predecessor.

Unfortunately, the Ready Player One film didn't do so hot, despite lots of popular games like Overwatch coming to life on the big screen, but readers are quick to back up the novel on Twitter and are nonetheless pumped up for the long-awaited sequel, Ready Player Two.

Ready Player Two will release November 24.
