In Capcom's Resident Evil 4 remake, Leon does not just have his hands full trying to save Ashley from the clutches of a religious cult in rural Spain but also in trying to fulfill the many requests that come from the shadowy Merchant as well. How to Complete the Insect Hive Merchant Request in Resident Evil 4 Remake

This Merchant Request can be completed in Chapter 11, and will come after the mine cart section with Luis, which players will have to complete after defeating the two Gigante enemies in a locked room. Once that section is completed, the Hive section of the map awaits.

While the path ahead is linear, there is still much to grab around the area and plenty of annoying Novistador enemies to deal with. These are the insect-like enemies that can camouflage themselves both on the ground or on walls. After finding the blue note on a wooden pallet on the east side of the Hive, players will have to destroy certain glowing sacks found dotted around the central structure that act as entrances for the enemy.

This can be found directly from the location of the Merchant Request, simply turn left and shoot the yellow growth and destroy it. It should take a few bullets from a pistol to be completely destroyed.

From the area with the note, head on the path behind and go north. A tunnel entrance will appear, but before going in, look for the second Hive by turning towards the central area again. Pump that sack full of rounds to destroy another Hive.

With the first two Hives destroyed, the remaining ones are luckily located quite close to each another. They can be found by heading through the tunnel towards the western side of the map. After exiting the tunnel, look up and towards the center of the area once more to spot the last two Hives. Destroy them both to finish off the request.

The next time a Merchant is available, claim the reward of 4 Spinels to add to the growing collection for a job well done. With that side mission out of the way, attention can now be fully turned back towards saving Ashley.

Resident Evil 4 (2023) is available on PC, PS4, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
