The release date for R.B.I. Baseball 21 has been confirmed. First revealed on various retail sites like the official Microsoft Store page, the game's Twitter account and MLB reveal the launch date for the next R.B.I. Baseball title is just a couple of months away.

Chicago White Sox's Tim Anderson will grace the cover of this year's R.B.I. Baseball, and the game will also include a bevy of new features. After R.B.I. Baseball returned as a series with R.B.I. Baseball 14, it has not always been considered one of the best baseball games. However, the R.B.I. Baseball games have improved, and now R.B.I. Baseball 21 is set to release this March.

While MLB initially shared that R.B.I. Baseball 21 would be launched in March, without giving a specific date, retail sites like Gamestop, BestBuy, and the aforementioned Microsoft Store claim that the game will be ready on March 15, 2021. Last years' R.B.I. Baseball was still lacking depth according to some reviewers, so the hope is that a player creator, adjusted camera angles, new difficulties, and more will address some of the feedback from the fans.

As far as alternatives to R.B.I. Baseball, many are still holding out hope in MLB The Show releasing on platforms outside of just PlayStation. In 2019, it became rather clear that eventually MLB The Show would arrive on other consoles thanks to the MLB dropping exclusivity with PlayStation. However, it will likely take time for the game to be developed on other consoles. A recent ratings update shows that MLB The Show still may not be quite ready for the Xbox or Switch in 2021, however, so for now R.B.I. Baseball can fill that void.

R.B.I. Baseball 21 will release on March 15, 2021, on Switch, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PC, and Mobile.
