As the first new Star Wars show to release on Disney Plus, the Mandalorian became a huge hit. With a story taking place after the events of the original trilogy of Star Wars films, many fans liked the narrative that focused on a Mandalorian bounty hunter known as Din Djarin. Due to the success of the series, numerous bits of merchandise have been created based on the show. One of these products is an Xbox gaming peripheral designed by Razer.

Recently, Razer announced the new Mandalorian Beskar Edition Xbox Wireless Controller. The major highlight of this controller is the stunning design based on the Beskar armor of the Mandalorian. It features a metallic coloration with inscriptions near the handgrips. Furthermore, numerous symbols are visible on the back, along with pictures of a Mudhorn and the Mandalorian’s weapons.

In addition to the Beskar design, the controller comes with a magnetic stand featuring the signature helmet of the Mandalorian. According to Razer, this stand can completely charge the gamepad in less than 3 hours. However, this controller comes with a catch. The new Star Wars gaming peripheral retails for a whopping $179.99 on the Razer online store. This means that it costs more than double that of a normal wireless Xbox Series X controller. While the officially licensed Xbox controller doesn’t ship until December 10, gamers can pre-order it now.

It’s worth noting that other Xbox compatible controllers with additional functionality are available for roughly the same price. For example, the Elite Series 2 controller typically sells for $179.99. This gamepad provides extra features not present on the Mandalorian Beskar Edition controller, such as swappable thumbsticks, trigger stops, and back paddles. In addition, the Elite Series 2 is currently on sale for $139.99 on the Microsoft online store.

This isn’t the only custom controller to be released for the Xbox Series X. In celebration of the launch of Halo Infinite, Xbox unveiled the Halo Infinite Elite Series 2 a few months ago. Beyond having all the features of the premium Elite Series 2 controller, the design of the gamepad featured the classic shades of green seen on the Master Chief’s MJOLNIR armor.

This news regarding the Mandalorian Beskar Edition controller comes as Disney has started production on the 3rd Season of the Mandalorian. In addition, Disney Plus is about to release a new Star Wars show revolving around another Mandalorian, Boba Fett. Advertised as The Book of Boba Fett, the show follows the bounty hunter as he attempts to make his way in the galaxy following the death of Jabba the Hutt.
