The ongoing coronavirus pandemic has seemingly not slowed Razer down, as the brand keeps releasing gear. This time, the tech company announced the ultra-light Kraken V3 X headset, which it says will offer both comfort and amazing audio quality for streamers and gamers who have to use headphones over long periods of time. Razer has also integrated its Chroma RGB technology into the new Kraken V3 X.

The Kraken X is one of the best-selling headsets developed by Razer, known for being a lightweight option at a fairly affordable price. Given the headset's success in the market, it should not come as a surprise that Razer is trying to upgrade one of its star products to offer better sound and voice quality while keeping the weight low and adding the Chroma RGB technology that is bound to grab the buyer's interest.

Razer's new Kraken V3 X weighs 285g, which is a little more than its predecessor. The headset comes with memory foam ear cushions that make it better for long sessions. Razer says it is not sacrificing audio quality the brand is known for in the name of comfort, as the new V3 X has a 7.1 surround sound application, and it comes with Razer's HyperClear Cardioid Mic, which enhances the voice while suppressing ambiance noises. It also comes with the Razer TriForce 40 mm Drivers, which were first introduced in the Razer BlackShark V2, meant to divide audio into highs, mids, and lows so the user can get clearer audio for a better gaming experience.

new tech reveal march 2021

The Kraken V3 X is available on Razer's website for $70, which is not the highest price among other headsets such as the Logitech G432. Furthermore, this headset was reportedly engineered to provide quality for gaming which is why it might be worth investing in the V3 X. Razer suggests trying out the headset with Valorant, or testing out how it can make Cyberpunk 2077 a more immersive experience with details such as the sound of the rain.

Razer has been announcing plenty of new gear, such as its own take at smart glasses with built-in audio to compete with Bose. Additionally, the brand has announced the Blade laptops, a gaming chair with a display, an RGB mask, a new mouse for MMO, an analog keyboard, and even a pillow for gaming chairs whose profits raise money for wildlife conservation. Razer has unveiled all of these new products in the last few months alone, so who knows what else will the company has up its sleeve.
