Gaming company Razer is unveiling its new mouse, modeled after Cyberpunk 2077. Razer's collaboration with CD Projekt Red is officially available as of today. This comes as the latest of what has been an onslaught of Cyberpunk collaborations. For example, Cyberpunk 2077 recently partnered with Samsung and Xbox to give away a new gaming setup, complete with a Cyberpunk-themed QLED TV.
Officially called the Razer Viper Ultimate Cyberpunk 2077 Edition, the flashy mouse has the signature bright yellow color scheme of Cyberpunk 2077. This edition of the Viper Ultimate was originally introduced at the inaugural RazerCon 2020 digital event last month. Turquoise highlights are present in the wheel and Razer logo, and the black circuit lines provide a bold contrast tying the entire device together.
The mouse also features the now-familiar barcodes, driving home the 'manufactured' look. The mouse is relatively light as well, weighing only 74 grams, however, it does weigh more than its Viper and Viper Mini counterparts.
The wireless device comes with a matching charging dock, featuring the same yellow color. Also stamped with the snake logo, both the dock and the mouse will illuminate a shade of turquoise when charging. The Viper Ultimate has more than sharp looks; high-performance technology backs it up. The gaming mouse's HyperSpeed connection is supposedly 25 percent faster than any other wireless tech currently on the market. In addition, the Viper Ultimate's sensor boasts a 99.6 percent resolution accuracy with a 20,000 DPI. Add that to the 0.2 millisecond click response, and the $159 price tag may just be justifiable. One thing to note is that the mouse is only available through Razer's website and Razerstore retail stores.
Razer's Viper Ultimate is an enticing option for those who can afford it. Featuring the same 5-on-board memory profiles and 8 programmable buttons as the standard version, gamers will need to shell out an extra $10 for the Cyberpunk 2077 edition. Its appeal is primarily in its aesthetic, especially when compared to something like the Razer Naga Pro gaming mouse. However, the very, very long-awaited role-playing game seems to have no shortage of fervor for anything related to it.
The Viper Ultimate mouse also comes in Classic Black, Quartz Pink, and Mercury White. Razer continues to cement its place as a top-tier manufacturer of any and every gaming-related products. From pro mice to gaming chairs, laptops, gum, and even credit cards, the company makes it all. Razer also continues to collaborate with other companies as well, recently partnering with Gunnar to create gaming glasses for teens.
