Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart has been out for a few weeks now, with many gamers having seen all that Ratchet’s latest adventure has to offer. One Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart fan has shown their love for the franchise by doing something outside the game, though, as they have made a replica of Ratchet’s OmniWrench.

Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart’s arsenal is massive, with players able to wield several neat weapons as they hop through dimensional rifts. New additions like the Cold Snap grenade launcher freeze enemies in place, while the Topiary Sprinkler transforms them into shrubbery. Classic tools like the Glove of Doom see enemy robots swarming enemies, while the Bouncer serves as a callback to the series’ early days. Despite all these weapons, though, none are more synonymous with Ratchet than his trusty wrench.

The melee weapon has followed Ratchet throughout every Ratchet and Clank game, with the Lombax always able to use it when smaller enemies get too close. While it is not the best for larger targets, it has a lot of versatility, with the ability to throw the wrench only making it more useful. With its role in puzzles being large, too, it is hard to imagine any fan of the franchise forgetting about the OmniWrench. Likewise, it is easy to understand why Reddit user slotcar_garage would be so interested in bringing the tool to life. Fortunately, they did a terrific job with their take on the wrench.

As confirmed by slotcar_garage in the comments, the OmniWrench is tiny. Specifically, it is about 2 inches long, though the size almost makes it more impressive. The Redditor worked with plastic and aluminum to rebuild Ratchet’s Omni-Wrench, something that would likely be easier to do with a full-sized version. The handle on the side where Ratchet would hold the weapon is clearly visible, and the blue on the top looks incredible. If slotcar_garage had a good time making this one, they could always make more replicas based on the wrench skins unlocked via Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart’s golden bolts.

While some players may prefer the hammer wielded by fellow protagonist Rivet, it is hard to beat the nostalgia that comes with seeing the wrench. Before long, several other Ratchet and Clank players commented on the post, praising the OmniWrench model’s creator and adding that they would buy the tiny model if they could. One Redditor suggested that slotcar_garage should make it into a keychain, and the model-maker seems to be heavily considering the idea.

With other creative fans making things like a custom PS1 game case for Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart, this OmniWrench continues the trend. While it may be a fair bit smaller than the in-game version, it is clear that a lot of passion went into its design.

Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart is available now on PS5.
