Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart has the potential to be a huge launch for the PlayStation 5. A follow-up to the series reboot a few years ago and announced in June of last year, it's about time that eager fans get some more Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart news.

The Ratchet & Clank series started on the PlayStation 2 as an action platformer that was beloved for its wit and combat that was filled with over-the-top guns. The series restarted in 2016 with a reimagining of the first title with upgraded visuals and gameplay, as well as a theatrical movie that was released alongside it.

With an impending release date of June 11, many fans have been eager to hear more about Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart. While developer Insomniac Games has released a good number of trailers for Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, many fans have been disappointed by the limited amount of gameplay shown off in those trailers. Fans are waiting to see just how the game will take advantage of the PlayStation 5's new hardware, as well as how the game will continue the Ratchet & Clank story since it is a direct sequel to 2013's Ratchet and Clank: Into the Nexus. Thankfully, Insomniac Games has responded to fans on Twitter to say that more information on the game should be coming soon.

While the tweet does not give any indication of when fans can expect the news, it stands to reason that it will be sooner rather than later. With the game only two months away from release, and there not being any currently announced PlayStation announcement events, more news on Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart could come any day now. It would be very strange for the game to get delayed so close to release, especially with the release date being announced only a few months ago, so fans will just have to sit tight for a little while longer to get some more news on what to expect when the game launches.

Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart has the potential to be a huge release for the PlayStation 5, and with Insomniac Games' recent success with Spider-Man: Miles Morales, it will likely be a great new entry for fans of the series. While there is still much about Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart that fans don't know, the series is in good hands, and the great reception of the series' previous title puts Insomniac Games in a great position to continue to innovate and expand on what the series can be.

Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart released on June 11, 2021 for the PlayStation 5.
