Everyone recognizes the iconic mascot of Disney: Mickey Mouse! The animated star first appeared over 90 years ago in Steamboat Willie and has appeared in over 130 films since. He even still gets several throwaway votes for president in elections to this day.

With the popularity of the character, it may come as no surprise that he has been made into many Funko Pop figures over the years. From convention exclusives to figures no longer in production, some of them are prised by collectors for their rarity.

Matterhorn Bobsled and Mickey Mouse [NYCC]

This Funko Pop was exclusively available at New York Comic-Con back in 2019. It shows Mickey riding on the Matterhorn, a famous bobsled ride at Disneyland in California. While a version of this figure is available for purchase at Disney theme parks, the version exclusive to the convention only ever had 1,500 produced, making it especially rare.

9 Sorcerer Mickey

The older the Funko Pop, the rarer it's more likely to be. Sorcerer Mickey was produced all the way back in 2012 and hasn't been recreated since. His look is based on the famous Fantasia short The Sorceror's Apprentice. While some still pop up for sale, they have become increasingly expensive over the years and are currently valued at around $160.00.

8 Steamboat Willie

Produced all the way back in 2011, this Steamboat Willie figure has become increasingly more rare over the years. It was one of the first three variants of the mouse to be produced by Funko Pop and is no longer being produced.

Unsurprisingly, this has made the Funko skyrocket in value over the years. What once was sold for $8.99 now goes for over $220.00 on auction websites the rare times one comes up for sale. Anyone who still has one of these should hold on tight; they are likely to keep increasing in value.

7 Mickey Mouse (Blue)

Mickey Mouse (Blue)

All the way back in 2012, this Funko Pop was sold as an exclusive at San Diego Comic-Con. It might not look as impressive as some of the other figures of the iconic character, but only 480 of them were ever produced. This scarcity of the Funko combined with its age has made it increasingly hard to find over the years. They are currently valued at about $300 a piece.

6 Steamboat Willie (Metallic)

Steamboat Willie (Metallic)

This Funko Pop was given out exclusively at the D23 Expo — a Disney-themed convention ran by the official Disney fan club. What makes it even rarer is that it was only available all the way back in 2013. Not to mention, as shown by the special sticker on the box, only 360 of these figures were ever produced. These rarely even come up for sale these days, and when they do, they can demand over $750 dollars on auction sites.

5 Sorcerer Mickey And Chernabog (Metallic)

Anyone that wants these figures had better have a time machine that can travel back to 2012. This set was exclusive to San Diego Comic-Con and at the time, was the only way to get a new Sorcerer Mickey figure (let alone a metallic one). This major callback to Fantasia was extremely popular, but only 480 sets were ever produced. While some figures have had fewer sets made overall, getting these two figures together in a single box has become increasingly difficult.

4 Steamboat Willie (Blue And Red - Redux)

Only the biggest fans of Disney would have had the chance to get this rare Funko Pop. D23 expo back in 2013 and only 250 were ever made. This has made it become incredibly valuable to collectors, selling at prices over $1,100.00.

The Funko Pop is likely a reference to Disney's Steamboat Willie Redux, a reanimation of the original Disney cartoon that featured 35 separate teams of artists and was released 90 years after the original. The animation can still be viewed online and is absolutely worth checking out.

3 Mickey Mouse (Metallic)

Mickey Mouse (Metallic)

This metallic mouse was only San Diego Comic-Con and only 480 of them were ever produced. What makes this Funko particularly rare however is a lack of anyone selling them on the secondary marking. Only seven have been brought up for sale in the past three years as collectors seem unwilling to part with this precious pop figure. Good luck trying to find one to complete that Mickey Mouse collection!

2 Mickey Mouse (Black And White)

Mickey Mouse (Black & White)

A figure made in honor of Mickey's first appearance on screen, this monochromatic Funko was only available back in 2012 at San Diego Comic-Con. That and only 18 of them were ever created. Only one has ever appeared for sale on the secondary market in the last five years and it sold for a whopping $2,000.00. There's a good chance this figure never comes up for sale again at this rate, making it essentially impossible to find.

Another San Diego Comic-Con exclusive, 18 of these Funko Pops were available all the way back in 2012. Its extreme age in terms of these figures alongside its scarcity has made it practically impossible for any collectors to get a hold of one now. The first copy was put up for sale in over two years back in 2020 asking for $2999,99 to buy it upfront. No one knows when another will be up for sale again, but it's likely the price will be even higher next time.
