A Pokemon YouTube content creator has found rare Pokemon TCG packs at Walgreens in products that may otherwise get passed up because of how vague the labeling is even to a fan. The packaging doesn't let buyers know precisely how rare these Pokemon cards are, but one bundle, in particular, may be enough to bring Pokemon TCG collectors to Walgreens rather than another retail outlet.

YouTuber PokeRev has unveiled some extra value in Pokemon TCG packs from Walgreens through a video in which he shows collectors what they should be looking for in the store and where they may find them outside the usual shelf stock. Because Pokemon TCG sets come and go, retail outlets often have a lot of the booster packs that are no longer being printed, while others like Kohls's and Kroger have a Halloween-specific Pokemon set for a limited time. Because of this variety and that Walgreens, McDonald's, and plenty of others get their own unique Pokemon cards, Pokemon TCG collectors often go from one location to the next to get the next rare pull.

PokeRev's Pokemon TCG YouTube video begins with the content creator going through Walgreens to locate the trading card aisle, which had a Snorlax tin that he was interested in, but not much else. Stumbling across a Virizion V Showcase box, PokeRev reveals that it comes with three random Pokemon TCG booster packs with the pack-in foil promo card and a code for Pokemon TCG Live. In total, PokeRev bought the aforementioned Snorlax tin, two Virizion V Showcase boxes, a set with Articuno, Moltres, and Zapdos, a mini portfolio with a Chilling Reign booster, and a pack of twenty random Pokemon cards that PokeRev admits are "usually terrible."

According to PokeRev, a friend of his tipped him off to the Walgreens Pokemon TCG packs, and he realizes why when he cracks into the Virizion V Showcase box during a YouTube video to see that each of them had 2 Lost Origin booster packs, and one from the base Sword and Shield series. The base Sword and Shield booster packs are rare to come by in retail outlets, and PokeRev notes in his video that he wasn't expecting to see them in a showcase box for the Pokemon called Virizion. While he points out that booster packs from this set only usually cost around $3 and stated that overall, the product wasn't worth the price, some Sword and Shield collectors may still be able to fill out their decks through Walgreens.

Although some Pokemon TCG fans have lamented the fact that some retail outlets get exclusive Pokemon products, others responding to PokeRev's video expressed their need to go to Walgreens for the Virizion V Showcase. Most responses to PokeRev's Pokemon TCG video praised the YouTuber's luck with booster packs, while one hinted that some retail exclusives aren't as valuable as the Walgreens ones.
