During its closed beta period, Valorant had a ranked system that allowed for competitive play. However, when players got on the full released game, that mode was no longer available, and fans are wondering when it will be back.

Valorant has made headlines as a first-person shooter game that soared to the front of players' radars. Gamers are flocking to the fully released version to learn the game and prove their skills to other players, but the competitive rankings that were available in the closed beta aren't in the full game quite yet. However, players may not have to wait that much longer until they're available on the servers again.

Riot Games announced that the company is going to wait before releasing competitive play back into the game. Before it goes back online, Riot wants to make sure that it can give adequate time to review all of the feedback it received from players during the game's closed beta phase. Due to the quick turnaround from beta to the full version, there are still adjustments that need to be made based on the feedback Riot's already received from players. Currently, Riot has its hands full with managing the full launch and dealing with cheating players, and the company wants to make sure they understand what to expect from the full version before adding more features to it. With all this being said, Riot Games said in a blog post that it hopes to reinstate Valorant's ranking system in "a few patches."

Riot Games also said that the delay would allow new players a chance to get their footing in the game before jumping into competitive. This puts new players on a more level playing field with the veterans from the closed beta, since the beta also had delayed the release of the ranked system. Since changes are still being made to the full game, this will give old and new players to get used to these fixes in the full game before getting ranked for their skills.

With the full game out now, Riot Games has a lot on their plates with the launch, keeping cheating players in check and getting a handle on how the game will be. Valorant's competitive system will be coming and with new changes like adding Agent Reyna, there will be even more reasons to be excited about the game.

Valorant is now available on PC.
