Twitch streamer Ramee is one of the platform's great examples of dedication being rewarded with consistent growth. Ramee started streaming in 2018 to virtually no viewers, only to see reliable growth in his channel between March 2019 and January 2021. Now after three and a half years of streaming on Twitch and becoming one of the platforms' top streamers, Ramee is taking a major step in his career. Ramee is no longer a Twitch streamer, and will instead move to Facebook Gaming.
Ramee made the announcement that he would be leaving Twitch for Facebook Gaming via a video shared on his Twitter account. The video features well-edited in-game footage of his Grand Theft Auto 5 roleplaying character, Ramee, in various states of action. In his narration, Ramee talks about his journey from starting streaming to now. He describes how "fearlessness" describes his journey to this point and how that's driving his decision to move to Facebook Gaming.
Befitting a GTA RP player, Ramee also ties his Twitch streaming journey into his experiences with his in-game gang. He describes how he started his Twitch streaming career by making friends with six other GTA RP players. He met these players completely by random, but now considers them his best friends. Ramee has continued playing with the Chang Gang since, with many of them also becoming hugely popular on Twitch.
In fact, Ramee cites his gang's departure from Twitch to Facebook Gaming as part of the reason that he's transferring to the new platform. LordKebun, the notorious Mr. K, started streaming on Facebook Gaming in October 2020. Garrett Jobless, another Chang Gang co-founder, started on Facebook Gaming in March. The Facebook Gaming squad is also joined by Taco Prince, who jumped to the platform in June. Ramee is just the latest Chang Gang member to join the platform, and may not even be the last.
Fans of Ramee, clearly, can expect the streamer to continue doing what his fanbase loves. He'll be streaming more Grand Theft Auto 5 RP on Facebook Gaming as his character Ramee, playing with all of his gang members. His streams will likely be intermixed with a few other games, depending on how long Ramee has to spend in jail, just like viewers have come to expect from his Twitch. It's just a change in platforms.
Ramee marks just the latest popular Twitch streamer to make the jump to another platform. Both Facebook Gaming and YouTube Gaming are offering significant contracts to big Twitch streamers. Twitch, in turn, appears to be letting many streamers go without too much of a fight. Facebook Gaming seems to see something in Grand Theft Auto RP streamers that Twitch doesn't.
