Rainbow Six Siege is a bastion of the multiplayer FPS genre and has continued to grow and improve over years of season passes and consistent updates. In the newest update for Rainbow Six Siege, players will be able to get skins through one of the most unexpected crossovers the game has, which are based on Rick and Morty.

Rainbow Six Siege players have a large variety of cosmetics to choose from for the various different operators and weapons that players pick from every match. The game has recently started opening up to crossover events, like with the recent Resident Evil crossover.

Now, in a trailer published by Ubisoft earlier today, competitive military shooter Rainbow Six Siege has revealed that it is crossing over with Rick and Morty. The crossover comes bearing two cosmetic bundles for defense operator Smoke and attack operator Sledge. Smoke's skin is based on Pickle Rick, although it is more focused on incorporating the repurposed rat corpse and exoskeleton that Rick used in the episode to survive in the sewers as a pickle. Sledge's skin on the other hand is based on a Gromflomite, the show's alien race that frequently pops up to hunt down Rick.

The crossover also brings a couple of weapon charms, one of which is again based on Pickle Rick while the other is a more traditional Rick Sanchez with a crazed look in his eyes and a red headband. Each of the bundles costs 2,160 R6 Credits, so players will have to buy the bundle of 2,670 R6 Credits for $19.99 if they don't have any credits lying around and want to pick one of the bundles up when the crossover brings the new cosmetics to Rainbow Six Siege tomorrow.

While the crossover is definitely unexpected, it is likely a cross-promotion to help spread the word that Adult Swim's hit cartoon Rick and Morty is returning to the station this June, and the skins should catch the eye of fans of the show that happen to also play Rainbow Six Siege, which is likely quite a few as the Rainbow Six Siege keeps setting higher player records. With this crossover breaking from the more orthodox crossovers Rainbow Six Siege has had before like having Sam Fischer from Splinter Cell, it opens the door for more crazy crossovers coming out that could bring some really interesting cosmetics to the military shooter.

Rainbow Six Siege is available now on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
