Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege has had a number of cosmetic events over the years, with some of them being significantly more exciting (or appropriate) than others. The latest in line is, strangely enough, a crossover with Rick & Morty, featuring the show's ever-popular Mr. Meeseeks.

While Tom Clancy purists might be terrified at the idea of having a playable Mr. Meeseeks in Rainbow Six Siege, the crossover shouldn't be quite as extensive as that. Ubisoft is yet to provide a full overview of what to expect from the promo, but so far they have shown off a relatively reasonable Mr. Meeseeks hood.

This isn't the first time the game has hosted a crossover of this kind. Back in April 2021, players had the opportunity to unlock another set of Rainbow Six Siege Rick & Morty cosmetics, with a whole batch of thematically appropriate weapon and operator skins popping up along the way. The extent of the new Rick & Morty crossover is not yet known, but Ubisoft has revealed that it's going to be available starting on January 20th.

While there's no official announcement that would help clarify what sort of Rick & Morty items players should expect out of the new Rainbow Six Siege crossover, Ubisoft's tweet suggests that the Mr. Meeseeks items won't be dropping in on their own. Since Rainbow Six Siege operator skins aren't interchangeable, it seems like a safe bet that the game will get at least a few entirely unique sets this time, too.

On top of that, odds are that players may also get another opportunity to purchase the old Rick & Morty items in Rainbow Six Siege as part of the new event. These include (but are not limited to) the Pickle Rick items for Smoke, the Gromflomite items for Sledge, and a number of standalone Rainbow Six Siege weapon skins and charms. Ubisoft is bound to release more information about the latest Rick & Morty event sooner rather than later, too, as it will be going live shortly.

While the cheeky nature of Rainbow Six Siege cosmetic events might jive with a significant portion of the player base, it's worth keeping in mind that a non-insignificant number of players are tactical shooter purists, too. There's an argument to be made that meme-worthy crossovers disconnect Rainbow Six Siege even further from its hardcore tactical roots, but at least Ubisoft isn't afraid to have a little fun with the IP.

Rainbow Six Siege is currently available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series platforms.
