Rainbow Six Siege fans are in for a surprise this week, as developer Ubisoft Montreal has released a story trailer for the upcoming Crimson Heist season update. Fans have already seen glimpses of the Crimson Heist update through other videos and promotional images, but this latest video provides some backstory for the infamous new operator coming to Rainbow Six Siege, Operator Flores.

Flores' abilities as an operator and his toolkit are already known. He's a medium speed and armor attacker hailing from Argentina. His gadget is the RCE-RATERO, which functions as a remotely controlled drone with a bomb attached to it. Flores has a choice between the AR33 or SR-25 rifles and his sidearm is the GSH-18 pistol. He also has stun grenades and a claymore. Flores won't be the only new operator in Rainbow Six Siege's Year 6 content roadmap but he is the star of the Crimson Heist update.

Flores' story trailer mixes a little bit of comedy with some action scenes and shows what the new operator loves most, which apparently isn't cooking. Rainbow Six Siege operators Castle and Goyo show up at Flores' food truck to talk him into joining the team and ask him about his side hustle.

While it probably won't function quite the same way in Rainbow Six Siege, Flores' remote control drone gets a lot of screen time in the story trailer. The gadget will supposedly be able to blow up other gadgets, destructible environment pieces, and players. Flores' RCE-RATERO and the Gonne-6 (an explosive secondary weapon all Attackers can equip) are new additions with the Crimson Heist update that may help shift the Rainbow Six Siege meta to be more Attacker-sided for the future.

The Crimson Heist update for Rainbow Six Siege is scheduled to drop on March 16. Along with Flores and the new secondary weapon, there are several changes to the Border map in the game, a newcomer playlist rework, and the addition of drone proximity awareness to benefit Attackers.

Rainbow Six Siege is available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series consoles.
