Some operators in Rainbow Six Extraction can be customized to do different things. Players have an ability that lets them choose whether to play offensively or defensively and decide which way they want to take it. Doc, however, is not one of those characters.

Doc is explicitly built for support. His health shots can give players a quick twenty health points or he can revive himself if he gets knocked down. Squadmates will be overjoyed to have Doc on their team, so long as that player has geared up for Rainbow Six Extraction appropriately.

Primary Weapon - SG-CQB

  • Vertical Grip

Every character should, by rule, should have one loud and one quiet weapon on them at all times. Doc is lucky in that his starting primary shotgun is one of the best in the game, giving him a gun with tremendous damage that has a satisfying reload.

Because of the demand for his services, Doc should be considered one of the smartest operators to level up first. But he doesn't need any points to immediately start with his best gun. The other automatic weapons work fine but lack the stopping power in open combat of a shotgun.

Secondary Weapon - P9

  • Suppressor

Following the established rule, Doc's secondary weapon needs to have silencing capabilities. This rules out the LFP586, which the community has largely considered one of the worst guns in the game. Thankfully, the P9 is available right away, just like the primary weapon.

Aside from not needing to gain experience points quickly to get access to his ideal loadout, this sidearm has range that might as well cover the entire map. The suppressor brings down damage and is not suited to open combat, but weak spot shots are one-hit kills.

Explosive Tech - Field Wall

The hardest objectives in the game are ones that involve defending a point from opponents that are automatically alerted. Stealth is completely useless for these modes and squads will frequently take damage they have to heal from between missions.

The Field Wall mitigates the damage done by ranged opponents and is yet another support tool for Doc to use that benefits the team. Let the others focus on more offensive explosions, Doc knows his job and the Field Wall is a tailored fit for him.

Gear - Body Armor

Healing is great, but there is a cooldown on it and it often makes sense to hold onto the heal for getting knocked down. Instead of being exposed, slap on some body armor and use the healing on others when they're in need instead of saving the shots for Doc.

This stacks nicely with Doc's advancement that reduces damage by 30%. Reducing damage by upwards of 50% between the two assures that Doc is a tough kill. Instead of worrying about the brittle support hero, Doc allows his teammates to focus purely on the mission at hand.

Rainbow Six Extraction was released on January 20th, 2022, and is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
