Michael "KiXSTAr" Stockley, a pillar in the Rainbox Six Siege community, passed away unexpectedly at the age of 24. Stockley gained fame on the Rainbow Six Siege scene as a pro player before transitioning into commentating and analysis for the Rainbow Six Siege Pro League.

Parker "Interro" Mackay, former casting partner and friend of Stockley, shared a statement on Twitter regarding the passing of his friend stating that Stockley "passed away unexpectedly." Mackay later confirmed via a statement from Stockley's family that the former caster's death was the result of a car accident. Unfortunately, Stockley is not the first Rainbow Six Siege pro player to pass away this year as Next1 succumbed to COVID-19 in May.

Mackay also stated in the tweet that Stockley was alone in his car and that his passing was "accidental." Mackay expressed his own grief along with many Rainbow Six Siege pro players stating that he was heartbroken due to losing his best friend. Pro players Giuliano "Krazy" Solon and Matthew "Achieved" Solomon cited Stockley as being an inspiration for them to start their own pro careers and offered their condolences to Stockley's family.

Stockley had become a massive feature in the Rainbow Six Siege community as he amassed around 443,000 followers by streaming the game on Twitch. His impact was so large that even Ubisoft itself paid tribute to Stockley via Twitter. The company offered condolences to the Stockley family and shared a message from stating that "Michael’s family ask that interested parties send a donation to a local food bank in Michael’s name" if they wished to pay respect to the former caster. The company also postponed Rainbox Six Siege fixtures as the result of Stockley's absence.

Carol "KixMom," Stockley's mother, reiterated how thankful she was for fan's continuous support of Stockley throughout his Esports and casting career. She reminisced on how his fans raised money for her to go visit him in Poland when he was still new to casting and how she always felt welcomed whenever she was invited onto his stream to chat with him. "At tournaments and events, we could see how he was respected for his talent and dedication. As parents, we were so proud of his hard work and determination to bring his best to all of you. We are grateful for all the love and support that we have experienced from so many of you."
