Raid: Shadow Legends is an MMORPG gacha game that sees players collecting and developing different champions, building the best team possible in order to get through all of the available stages and increase their power. These champions have different abilities that will match different playstyles, such as mage, ranged, attack, etc.

As well as regular champions that can be farmed for and collected, there are legendary champions that are more powerful than their standard counterparts. While all of the legendary champions in Raid: Shadow Legends are worth investing time into, some are more powerful than others. Just like with the best teams in Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes, players for Raid will require legendary champions.

Developers are constantly adding new and exciting champions to the mix, giving players tons of options to choose from when it comes to building a team. To better showcase some of the Legendary options out there, the following list has been updated and now includes even more entries that spotlight the best legendary champions in Raid: Shadow Legends.

8 Arbiter

Those looking for a support champion that is capable of keeping them in the fight should seek out Arbiter, a High Elf unit that is capable of reviving the dead. Her abilities allow her to keep her allies safe from harm, with a resurrection spell should things get dire. Her Aura will increase her allies' speed by 30 percent in the Arena and she's capable of decreasing the time that an enemy's buffs are active. Overall, she's a great support that can really help a damage-heavy team shine.

Here are Arbiter's abilities:

  • Gaze of Justice - Single-target attack that hits twice with each hit having a 30 percent chance of putting a 25 percent weaken on the target for two turns.
  • Enforced Humility - An AOE skill that has a 75 percent chance to decrease an enemy's buff duration by one turn.
  • Mentor of Heroes - This buff will fill all heroes' turn meters by 30 percent, grant them a 50 percent attack buff for 2 turns, and heal them for 25 percent HP if they are under 50 percent HP at the time.
  • Destiny's Call - Revives all downed allies to 35 percent health and fills their turn meters by 20 percent. If Arbiter is successful in reviving an ally she gains an extra turn immediately.

7 Bad-el-Kazar: The Dark Undead Warrior

Bad-el-Kazar is a fantastic champion that holds a lot of power. Part of the Undead Hordes faction, he is a Support role champion with the Strength Affinity. One of the best utility support champions in the game, his healing and debuff cleansing offers great sustain and gives players' teams the edge in highly difficult dungeons. Bad-el-Kazar also boasts stacked base stats that make him formidable with attack and defense in his own right. Undead characters are present in lots of games, but Bad-el-Kazar manages to appear distinct.

His abilities are:

  • Dark Sphere - Self-heals as well as healing all allies by 20% of the damage inflicted.
  • Malice - Removes all ally debuffs, then buffs allies' healing as well as inflicting a poison debuff on all enemies for two turns.
  • Prey Upon - Inflicts 15 % more damage against enemies debuffed by poison.

His Aura increases Ally critical rate in all battles by 25 %. Players wanting to feel like they're straight out of a zombies game will have a lot of fun with this champion.

6 Martyr: Teleria's Best Defensive Warrior

Martyr is a highly useful champion, particularly in the early to mid-game. Part of The Sacred Army faction, she is a Defense role champion with the Spirit Affinity. Possessing AoE debuffs, Martyr is great at weakening entire groups of enemies as well as being a fearsome fighter herself. Martyr's base stats are very high and she's even useful in the Arena PVP mode.

Her abilities are:

  • Rush - Single-target attack with a 45 % chance to place a 60 % Defense decrease debuff on the initial target.
  • Bastion of Faith - Increases Defense by 60 % and adds a Counterattack buff to all allies for two turns.
  • Suppression - AoE attack that places a Decrease ATK debuff on a target for two turns. Places a Provoke debuff for one turn.

Her Aura increases all allies' Defense in battles by 33 %. Players who enjoy using warrior characters will have a lot of fun with Martyr.

5 Kyoku

A relatively new champion, Kyoku is a stylish tank with some incredibly valuable skills that will help keep teammates alive and healthy during intense battles. Kyoku is capable of rebuffing enemies, burning their HP, healing allies, and tanking attacks via damage reductions and blocks. Having this imposing figure in the frontline will keep opponents on their toes and keep players' allies safe and protected so they can dish out damage. Their passive will also heal allies each time they're damaged with a critical hit.

Here's a look at Kyoku's skills:

  • One-Eyed Beast - Single-target attack that will strike three times if the target has three or more debuffs on it. Each strike also has a 40 percent chance to apply a weakness debuff for two turns.
  • Blood Curdle - An AOE ability that has an 80 percent chance to apply a 50 percent attack debuff to enemies and also an 80 percent change to apply an HP burn for two turns to any enemies that don't receive the attack reduction.
  • Kyoku's Hoard - Gives all allies a 50 percent Ally Protection buff while also giving Kyoku a Block Damage buff for three turns. This also grans them an extra turn to use immediately.

4 Nethril: The Undead Warrior

Nethril is a must for any players who want to succeed in the late game of Raid: Shadow Legends. Belonging to the Undead Hordes faction, he is an Attack role champion with the Spirit Affinity. Through his AoE-focused kit, he is one of the best control champions in the entire game. Players should focus on high speed, high accuracy, and HP when building Nethril, as they will complement his warrior skills.

His abilities are:

  • Blood Harvest - Single-target attack that hits three times. Has a 30 % chance of placing 5 % poison debuff on the target for two turns.
  • Ghastly Horrors - AoE attack that has 50 % chance of stunning all enemies for one turn. Places 30 % Decrease Speed debuff for two turns if the target isn't under a Stun debuff.
  • Bat Swarm - AoE attack with the damage based on Nethril's current Attack, decreases turn meter by 75 %.

3 Dracomorph

Dracomorph Raid Shadow Legends

Those looking for a damage-dealer that is capable of hitting enemies with some seriously potent debuffs should try to get their hands on Dracomorph. This Lizardmen unit is one of the most desired in the game thanks to his ability to hit enemies with an AOE debuff that applies weakness. He can also dish out some immense damage when built correctly and will synergize well with nukers as his presence will have opponents taking increased damage.

Dracomorph's abilities are:

  • Seeping Pain - Single-target attack that deals 10 percent additional damage for each debuff on the target. If the target dies from the attack then Dracopmorph will attack a random enemy for triple the "surplus damage."
  • Poison Jaws - Dracomorph attacks 4 random targets. Each hit will apply a 5 percent Poison debuff that lasts three turns.
  • Baleful Eye - Puts a 25 percent Weaken and 60 percent reduction to defense on all enemies for two turns.

2 Lyssandra: The Support Warrior

Lyssandra is a must-have for players who like to constantly be attacking and preventing enemies from hitting back. The best champion at manipulating turn meter, Lyssandra is a Support warrior with the Spirit Affinity and belongs to the High Elves faction. Players should consider that Lyssandra is based around targeting single enemies, so pairing her up with a champion that focuses on AoE will be a good idea for balance.

Her abilities are:

  • Transference - Single-target attack that transfers all debuffs from herself to the target.
  • Exhaustion - Single-target attack that fully depletes the target's turn meter.
  • Energize - Places 30 % Increase Speed buff on allies for two turns. Fills turn meter of allies by 30 %. Decreases turn meter of enemies by 30 %.

Her Aura increases ally Speed in all battles by 24 %. Lyssandra is more of a tank warrior character.

1 Turvold: The Bladed Barbarian

Turvold is one of the strongest champions available in Raid: Shadow Legends, a leader-type character that works well with the majority of other champions featured in the game. An Attack type warrior with the Void Affinity, he belongs to the Barbarians faction.

His abilities are:

  • Crackling Blade - Single-target attack that hits twice. Has 55 % chance of placing 25 % Weaken debuff for two turns.
  • Ancestor's Power - Places 50 % Increase Attack buff, 30 % Increase Critical Rate buff, and a 30 % Increase Speed buff for two turns, grants an extra turn.
  • Juggernaut - Single-target attack that hits twice, damage increases according to the number of buffs on the champion. If the target is killed, reset the skill's cooldown.

His Aura increases Ally ATK in Faction Crypts by 42 %. Players who enjoy barbarian characters will have a lot of fun with Turvold.

Raid Shadow Legends was released on July 29, 2018, and is available on PC, Android, and iOS.
