Raft is a survival game where players are floating on the sea. They will start on a small raft, drifting among the waves. With only a hook as their companion, people have to salvage materials from the sea and slowly build their rafts to become a proper home.

Other than relying on sea salvages and islands, Raft players can also find special items available at the Trading Post. This fancy-looking building can only be found in specific places, and of course, they’ll also need special currencies to trade with. Unfortunately, even though there seems to be no one guarding the stand, people won’t be able to raid the shop and get things for free. It appears that even though the world fell into great turmoil, honesty is still a major value to uphold.

Where To Find Trading Posts In Raft

Trading Posts can be found on large islands in Raft. The shop is always decorated with some fancy lights, so it should be hard to miss. Typically, these buildings exist on the high ground of the island, and there are some trees around it that players can harvest, so it’s a great idea to bring an axe.

Additionally, a tameable animal would also wander around the place, along with the evil Screecher, one of the most dangerous animals in Raft.

Unfortunately, while some items in the Trading Post may seem intriguing, players need to own special currencies to trade in it, specifically Trade Coins and Trash Cubes.

How To Get Trade Coins and Trash Cubes

In the Trading Posts, players need to understand its Reputation system, Trade Coins, and Trash Cubes.

Reputation System In Raft

Inside the Trading Post, players will find a Reputation indicator. Reaching a new level of Reputation will unlock higher-level items in the shop’s inventory.

To raise it, they need to sell Rare Fish to the shop. Unlike usual fishes, these special types require a special Bait to catch. Using these Baits will also guarantee players to only get Rare Fish, so make sure to not use Baits if people are trying to get themselves some fish to eat.

  • Simple Fishing Bait: Will only catch Tier 1 Rare Fish
  • Advanced Fishing Bait: Will only catch Tier 2 Rare Fish
  • Expert Fishing Bait: Will only catch Tier 3 Rare Fish

Unfortunately, these baits can only be bought from the Trading Post, so before players can raise their reputation, they need to get Trash Cubes first.

Trash Cubes In Raft

Trash Cubes can be obtained via the Recycler. This item can be made after players started the storyline by visiting the Radio Tower.

Trade Coins In Raft

Trade Coins can be collected by selling Rare Fish to the Raft Trading Post. Tier 1 and Tier 2 Rare Fish will grant one Trade Coins while Tier 3 will grant two coins. The only difference between Tier 1 and 2 is the Reputation point players get upon selling them. The lowest level grants 10 while the other rewards 100.

Raft is available on PC.
