Interest in Capcom's Monster Hunter franchise is arguably at an all-time high. The current major title Monster Hunter World is preparing to release a Halloween-themed update, Monster Hunter Stories 2 and Monster Hunter Rise were recently announced for the Switch, and a film adaptation of the series starring Milla Jovovich is in development. Thus, it makes sense for the mobile game Puzzle & Dragons to be bringing back its recurring Monster Hunter collaboration.

This latest iteration of the Monster Hunter collab, which is currently active and scheduled to take place until October 11, is the fifth time Capcom's action RPG franchise has appeared in the mobile puzzle game. Previous events have focused on major releases, such as one announced October 7, 2019 that celebrated Monster Hunter World: Iceborne's release by adding monsters like the Velkhana.

The current Monster Hunter event features the Safi'jiiva, Lagiacrus, and Yian Kut-Ku as new monsters for players to summon, and there are three Hunters with different gear and abilities available in the Monster Exchange. Three limited-time dungeons, multiple new challenges, log-in bonuses, as well as special purchase bundles that guarantee high-level monsters are also available for Puzzle & Dragons fans.

Developed by GungHo Online Entertainment, the same studio behind Ninjala on the Nintendo Switch, Puzzle & Dragons has a long history of collaborations with different video game franchises such as Atlus' Persona and Square Enix's Final Fantasy. Capcom is a frequent partner, as seen earlier this year when Puzzle & Dragons crossed over with Devil May Cry, giving players access to characters like Dante and Vergil.

Puzzle & Dragons is available now on Android and iOS.
