A few days ago, PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds receive a sizable update on Xbox One that saw it exit early access as a full release. Unfortunately, the full release version of the game hasn't been without its issues, with one glaring technical problem we noticed being that the bulk of the achievements appear to be glitched and do not unlock or track properly at all.

While playing the PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds full version on Xbox One, we noticed that many of the achievements simply did not work. It's true that some of the achievements unlocked immediately based on what we did in early access, but many others won't unlock, even if we redo their requirements.

For example, there is an achievement for reviving a knocked-down teammate in PUBG on Xbox One. Now, this should be one of the easiest achievements in the game, as teammates get knocked down all the time, whether that's from being shot by other players, fall damage, or simply being reckless in a vehicle. We revived multiple teammates and the achievement didn't unlock.

We tested other achievements as well, including "You Complete Me" and "Health Junkie." The You Complete Me achievement is for wearing the outfit of a dead player, but that achievement didn't pop after we fulfilled the requirements. Similarly, the Health Junkie achievement, which is for charging the boost gauge to the max with energy drinks and painkillers, also didn't unlock after we fulfilled the requirements.

It seems as though this is a fairly widespread problem, but it is not impacting everybody. The Xbox One has a feature where players can see the percentage of people that have unlocked a particular achievement for a game, and the unlock rate for PUBG achievements are absurdly low at this time. The You Complete Me achievement, for instance, has a dismal 0.88% unlock rate for PUBG Xbox One owners, despite it being a relatively easy achievement to unlock. An even easier achievement, Guardian Angel (the one for reviving a knocked-down teammate) has a mere 1.32% unlock rate at the time of this writing.

Despite exiting early access, it's clear that PUBG on Xbox One still has many technical issues that need ironed out. Hopefully the achievements and other lingering problems are fixed in short time.

PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds is out now for iOS, Android, PC, and Xbox One.
