Miramar is a desert-themed map in PUBG, known for its challenging terrain and long-range engagements. When it comes to choosing a drop spot on this map, there are several factors to consider. One of the most important is the availability of loot. Miramar has many small towns and compounds scattered throughout the map, which can offer good loot, and are less likely to be contested by other players

The unique landscape of Miramar also means that players can take advantage of high vantage points, such as hills and rock formations, to gain a strategic advantage over their opponents. Overall, players should consider drop spots that are favorable to their playstyle and confidence.

8 Minas Generales

Minas Generales

Minas Generales is a great drop spot, offering a mix of advantages for the braver players. This large industrial compound is located near the center of the map, making it a great starting point those who want to quickly gear up and move toward other high-value locations.

It also features a lot of cover, both in the form of buildings and natural terrain, which can provide players with strategic advantages in combat. The area is known for its high loot density, making it an attractive spot for players who want to find higher-level equipment early on.

7 Pecado

Pecado

Pecado is placed almost at the center of the map, making this starting point incredibly versatile in terms of positioning. There is ample loot for a small group, and plenty of vehicles to utilize after gearing up. There are also multiple exits from the area, making it possible to easily get out if need be.

The location can be highly contested due to its position, and chances of early encounters are quite high. Should there be too many players to deal with, there are a lot of great spots to detour towards, avoiding early skirmishes with ease.

6 Ruins

Ruins

Ruins is a good choice for those looking for an easier start in a good location. The place is overshadowed by Alcantara, which makes people less likely to go for it. There is great loot, though it might be difficult for a full squad to find everything they need.

After gearing up, players can more confidently engage players in Alcantara, with their superior positioning and gear advantage. That also means, however, that getting out of town might not be the easiest job, as players will have to go through the hostile city in order to leave.

5 La Cobreria

La Cobreria

La Cobreria is a large city that isn’t too overcrowded due to its location. It offers a high loot density, which means players can find a variety of weapons, armor, and items to survive the game. Multiple buildings and rooms provide players with different vantage points and hiding spots to ambush their enemies.

There are more than enough vehicles to go by, making relocation easy and efficient. The landscape allows for a variety of plays, from holding the city to moving up the mountain and surveying the area from there.

4 Puerto Paraiso

Puerto Paraiso

Puerto Paraiso provides several benefits for those looking for a good landing spot in PUBG. Firstly, it is situated on the coast, which allows players to easily access boats and move to other areas of the map quickly. Secondly, Puerto Paraiso has several multi-story buildings, which offer a wide range of looting opportunities, including weapons, armor, and medical supplies.

Lastly, Puerto Paraiso is not as popular as some other locations on the map, so players can often land and loot undisturbed, giving them a better chance of survival in the early stages of the game.

3 Unnamed Island

Unnamed Island

This secluded section on the East side of the map provides a lot of bonuses to those willing to explore beyond the mainland. First, players almost never go there, making it ideal for those looking to completely avoid early encounters. Secondly, there are a lot of nautical vehicles to move between the islands, and later on dock anywhere on the map.

There is plenty of high-level gear for a party of 4, making it a good starting point for a squad. The elevation on the island also allows taking easy potshots at the unsuspecting players looting the nearby town.

2 Prison

Prison

Hard to say why there are this many guns in prison cells, but that question leads to its own rabbit hole. Regardless, this location has a very impressive array of loot, enough to equip multiple squads, and then some. The place is far enough on the map, that not too many people go for it, unless it is directly in the way.

Getting out might be a challenge, as there are only two bridges leaving off the island, and boats are difficult to find on the map. However, there is a chance of finding a plane, which easily solves that conundrum.

1 Campo Militar

Campo Militar

The massive military compound holds countless pieces of gear and weapons for players to find. From simple handguns, to high-tier scopes and armor, this place has everything players could possibly need. Looting everything might be a challenge with the sheer scope of the place, and the amount of lootable buildings.

The base is located far enough north that not too many players go out of their way to trek there. Should the zone be unkind to the players, traveling all the way to the other side of the map could prove difficult, due to the many cities located near the roads, and the gasoline needed to cross it.

PUBG Battlegrounds is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and mobile devices.
