With the battle royale craze moving forward unabated, video game developers like Bluehole Studio are working hard to keep projects such as PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds stuffed with fresh wares in order to keep fans coming back for more. Now, the company has officially added War Mode to the iOS and Android versions of PUBG in an effort to have mobile players' content remain consistent with the PC and Xbox One versions.

According to Bluehole Studio, PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds War Mode is coming to the iOS and Android iterations as a content drop to supplement the battle royale title's recent addition of the First Person Perspective Mode on mobile back in June. With this being the case, iOS and Android players will be tasked with being the first team to reach 100 points, with players respawning after each death and earning "three points for killing an opponent, one point for killing a downed opponent, and one point for saving a teammate."

The latest update for PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds on iOS and Android not only brings War Mode into the mix, but also a new clan system as well where "players can create and customize unique clan icons and work to earn exclusive rewards by climbing in ranks and completing challenges." Additionally, Bluehole Studio has provided PUBG on mobile with new region categorizations, a new achievement system, exclusive skins, and an SLR Sniper Rifle.

Bearing everything in mind, it's great to see PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds' iOS and Android versions continually receive updates that strive to keep the mobile iteration of the battle royale title in line with the game on PC and Xbox One. After all, with its competitor Fortnite making $2 million per day on mobile, PUBG needs to stay consistent in keeping its fans engaged on iOS and Android so as to ensure it remains relevant in a marketplace brimming with battle royale releases.

PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds is available now for Android, iOS, PC, and Xbox One.
