Several collaborations have come to PUBG Mobile since its release back in 2018 and a new one is set to release in 2022. PUBG Mobile has confirmed its next crossover, with Marvel's Spider-Man coming to the PUBG Corp. battle royale in mid-January.

In celebration of the upcoming release of Spider-Man: No Way Home, PUBG Mobile fans from around the world can already get exclusive items such as a brand new graffiti by completing in-game missions. The Spider-Man coming to PUBG Mobile with the release of version 1.8 will likely include more challenges for ever-increasingly more valuable cosmetic items. This follows the trend of previous PUBG Mobile crossovers that brought other universes to the battle royale.

Just like with the various Spider-Man-themed content added to Fortnite recently, PUBG Mobile has confirmed that more content from this collaboration is coming. The developer hasn't stated specified what more is coming, but Spider-Man fans who play PUBG Mobile can definitely expect more cosmetics based on the Marvel character. Because the new content doesn't drop until after the release of the new movie, the upcoming cosmetic content may involve spoilers that haven't been shown in Spider-Man: No Way Home's trailers.

PUBG Mobile has confirmed some information about gameplay and items coming with version 1.8, suggesting that Spider-Man's release will change up how people play PUBG Mobile during the collaboration. Fortnite's Chapter 3 map includes bouncy spider webs around the map, so it may not necessarily involve swinging around with web shooters or visiting a popular Marvel location. The teased imagery of Spider-Man showed the Marvel hero in his new suit and the familiar PUBG map of Erangel juxtaposed with Spider-Man's version of New York City.

This partnership between PUBG Mobile and Sony Pictures is the first time the two parties have worked together and more Sony Pictures films may be showcased in PUBG Mobile in the future if it goes well. Head of PUBG Mobile Publishing Vincent Wang stated that Spider-Man isn't simply a popular superhero, but he's a pop-culture icon that's recognizable around the world. "We can bring the excitement and anticipation of the film and character to PUBG Mobile," said Wang. This recognizability and excitement may increase the active players in PUBG Mobile once version 1.8 drops next year.

PUBG Mobile recently crossed over with League of Legends, but other recognizable promotions it's collaborated with in the past include Resident Evil, Godzilla, The Walking Dead, and even Mountain Dew. Spider-Man has recently crossed over with Fortnite as part of the recent release of Chapter 3, becoming part of the battle pass and bringing the Daily Bugle to the battle royale island. Spider-Man: No Way Home releases next week and the addition of Spider-Man to multiple battle royale games may pique the interests of many gamers.

PUBG Mobile is available right now for Android and iOS devices.
