When it comes to battle royale, few games have managed to shape the trend as much as Krafton's PUBG: Battlegrounds. Despite the highly competitive nature of the genre in the industry, the title continues to draw in millions every month, thanks in part to the growing popularity of PUBG: Mobile. As the developers look to entice players with new content and events, PUBG: Mobile has announced one of its latest collaborations.

Of course, the popular battle royale has come a long way since its debut in 2017. PUBG has noticeably improved its experience in a number of ways over the years ranging from the more fluid gameplay and optimizations to offering a variety of modes. But it's the move to free-to-play that has managed to make one of the biggest impacts on the title in recent time. Now it appears that the developers are looking to capitalize on this popularity with collaborations, events, gameplay modes, and other content ideas.

As per the teaser on YouTube, PUBG: Mobile is officially crossing over with Amazon's The Boys and will kick off on June 3, in line with the season three premiere. . As part of this collaboration, players can get a number of exclusives, including the iconic suits of Homelander, Starlight, and Soldier Boy. The crossover will also have weapon skins, backpacks, and a unique Supes parachute, among other items. Further, on June 8 the Supe Spree event will take place where players join Billy Butcher from the series to build an investigation squad and "search for evidence of supe wrongdoings."

Crossovers in video games are nothing new and these happen with titles of every scale. In fact, this isn't the first time PUBG: Mobile has crossed over with other franchises. Back in February, the mobile game crossed over with acclaimed anime series Black Lagoon and Spider-Man: No Way Home within the same month. In March, PUBG: Mobile collaborated with Warframe, which allowed players to earn a variety of Warframe-themed items.

Meanwhile, Amazon's hit series The Boys is hyping up excitement as it prepares for season three on June 3. The highly anticipated show has already teased some of the popular story points from the comics, such as the notorious Herogasm event as well as the introduction of Soldier Boy, who will be played by Supernatural star Jensen Ackles. Nevertheless, it will be interesting to see how the popularity of The Boys will be received in the gaming world through PUBG: Mobile.
