A big update is out this week for PUBG Mobile and brings a few gameplay adjustments and new modes to the game. Update 0.4.0 is available now to download for both iOS and Android.

One of the new features hitting the mobile version of PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds is Arcade, which is a 28-player mode that can be played solo or with friends. Each match randomly selects one of six possible variations, adding a bit of a twist on the gameplay. For example, one variation limits the weapon selection to a specific type, while another grants players access to all weapons and items. The six variations are Shotguns, Sniper Rifles, All Weapons, Melee, Pistols, and Item Heaven.

The developers have also added a Training Grounds mode to PUBG Mobile. The Training Grounds mode is only available for solo players, allowing them to practice with weapons and items on their own before jumping into a match with others.

It's nice to see PUBG Mobile's developers feed some new modes into the game as well as make adjustments and improvements. With a few smart gameplay tweaks compared to the main game, PUBG Mobile quickly became one of the more popular battle royale mobile games at launch. Maybe the main game can even learn a thing or two from its mobile counterpart.

PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds is available now for Android and iOS devices, PC, and through early access on Xbox One.
